Seven months after delivery, I thought a hard drive failed. Talked to LG, who said, "Yes, sounds like a hardware failure and not a software problem. You should get that fixed." They would not even consider standing behind their product. Turns out, the motherboard slot was bad, not the hard drive. They still aren't interested in standing behind their product. I will never again purchase from LG. And now, the motherboard issue is causing a constant drain on the battery, so the percentage goes down about a percent per day despite being constantly plugged in. I have another month and a half until it's bricked, at this rate. My laptops always last five or six years, and are replaced when they are too slow and need an upgrade. This is unacceptable.

There is a lot to like about this laptop. It's impossibly light weight, the screen is super sharp, and the battery lasts a full workday. I think for how much money we're dealing with here, it's more important to say what I don't like about it. 1. I spent a half hour finding and removing all the AI nonsense and knocked off a star just for that. It should be a optional install or a very simple one click opt out. This is not a toy computer. 2. The display might be 17" but the bezels are so thin, the chassis dimensions are more of a standard 15" laptop with a number pad shoehorned in. It looks good in pictures and on paper, but that causes problems when typing more than a couple minutes. My hands and shoulders are pointed to the left side of the screen, so I have to turn my head a few degrees to the right in order to see what I'm typing. The ergonomics are not very good. I got around this by moving programs to the left side of the screen and keeping stuff I don't need to look at often to the right side. The number pad should be removed. 3. The track pad is centered to the palm rest to look more visually appealing... but it's completely wrong in relation to the keyboard. When typing normally, my entire right hand is resting over the track pad. I'm constantly tapping the corner and moving the mouse cursor around. I lowered the touch sensitivity in settings but it still does it. The track pad should be centered to the space bar. TL;DR I'm quite peeved at the keyboard and track pad layout.

Baller laptop, super light, productivity monster. I'm going to list out my thoughts on this in a list. • Super light, it's lighter than my MacBook Pro 14 inch. • The lightness though makes it feel like I'm going to bend it. It's made of magnesium alloy, which is great for wheels, but when it's soooo thin, it feels like I'm going to bend it if I close the screen anywhere else than the center. • It kinda feels like plastic, but I know it's not. • Keyboard is WONDERFUL. The keys have a nice crisp downstroke and upstroke to them. Love having a full numpad and there's even a calculator button. • The power button is a dome switch. Very satisfying. • It was weird feeling to have a physical button to press on the trackpad. • Speaking of the trackpad, it's nice and smooth, feels like glass. • Smudge magnet. But the keys didn't seem to get glossy at all. • Get's a little warm on the bottom, but the top is nice and cool. • Can charge from either USB port. • The 2TB comes in 2 separate drives, like what? It's not just 2 partitions either, it's two separate Samsung drives. • Resolutions is 2560x1600 at 144hz on a beautiful screen. Like it's lovely, and it's matte too. I love matte screens. • Shame that this one doesn't have a discrete GPU to take advantage of the 60+ FPS. • That doesn't matter though since I can just stream with Game Pass. • BLOATWARE galore. There is the usual windows bloatware, but also there's McAfee on it too, instant uninstall. • MORE BLOATWARE. There's a whole suite of LG programs in there, some neat, but all mostly bloatware. • On device AI named Gram, in addition to Copilot, it's alright, but I'm already committed to a different AI. The AI though can control aspects of your laptop like power and display stuff, but it's really more like a chat based shortcut thing. • On boot, there was an extra 30 minutes or so of updating Windows, so the magic of just starting up was lost. • Also on first boot, you get to hear the MAX fan speed, which is LOUD, but during use I never heard it again. • Fans are super quiet, but it's nice to know that the power of rapid cooling is there when I need it. • Power brick is tiny, like a phone charger. • The sound on this is pretty nice, but with such a thin chassis, it kinda rattles at certain frequencies, like a door panel on a car with too much bass. • But, it has a headphone jack. • Battery life is loooong. Tutting around uninstall and installing for a couple hours It barely got down to 90% • I didn't feel any slowdown at all while searching and installing with tons of tabs open. I can definitely tell it's a beefy processor and 32 gigs of ram is way more than enough. That's all I have off the top of my head. Overall this is a great computer, the huge screen and speedy specs in addition to the luxurious build quality, make this a great choice for a high-end Windows laptop.
