Alvin’s Cables is a great vendor to buy from!
I just wanna say first I’ve always had a good experience shopping with Alvin’s cables in the last 6 or 7 years. He’s even done some custom cables for me. I purchased a Canon R5C a while back and finally needed a dummy battery and picked one up. Upon first installing it into the Canon BG-R10 battery grip battery tray I noticed a problem. It would not seat properly. Like it was too wide or something. I compared it with my original and aftermarket batteries and found as pictured the notch was a little thicker and angled. Rather then sending it back I simply used a box cutter razor blade and carefully shaved a very small portion off. That part I circled that kind of goes up and into a tip. That should not be there. Once I did that it installed just fine and fits snug. I never tried it prior to trimming it in the body without the battery grip. It’s possible it doesn’t affect anything when used that way. Or maybe there’s a bad batch that came out I’m not sure. Hope this helps someone if they are using one with the battery grip in the future and run into the issue when it arrives. Very easy fix.Just to confirm all the features work while using video except when you use 8K 59.94f you have no lens AF but that doesn’t bug me at all. I am using the dtap end into a Blueshape Granite Mini vmount 140Wh for power.

Worked ok for a little while
It worked as advertised for 2 months of light usage connected to a V-mount battery. After that, the camera reported low voltage and would limit some functions. I tried different, fully charged, v-mounts but all gave the same results. Maybe I got a bad copy but its too late to return it.

defective?
I’ve had success with their other cables but this one powered my R5c for less than 5 minutes before giving a low voltage warning and wouldn’t even power the camera on after that. Batteries were fully charged. Will return.

Worked Great with my EOS R5C
I used this in conjunction with the NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery to power my EOS R5C during a recent video shoot. Absolutely no issues at all. Highly recommended.

Works great
I got this because of the short cable length as I wanted to use my R5C with a gimbal and I'll be going through a pass-through plate on my RS3 Pro. Works great and totally worth it. Alvin's cables have proven to be a great brand with trustworthy products.
