### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Telephone Says It All

*by M***E on July 14, 2017*

Does this stuff work on vintage telephones? Ones with serious UV yellowing issues? Was this interesting 1961 Western Electric 701B Princess phone -- acquired as a parts donor -- yellow? Or was it beige? It wasn't offered in yellow in 1961. It has obviously been out in the sun for 56 years, and it showed. But it wasn't beige, either. It was white. The pictures tell the story (any off white color is from the overhead lighting). This phone is now a vibrant eye-popping white.Yes, this stuff works -- fantastically so.Five hours in moderate sunshine, sealed in freezer ziplock bags. Turn halfway through. The trick is to keep the product sealed, so it doesn't dry out. Apply liberally wearing latex gloves. Rinse in mild soap and water when completed. Polish to a fantastic gloss.I can heartily endorse this product for reversing heavy yellowing. But I would be careful to only use it on white or lighter shade materials. It is strong, and a stray drop will instantly turn a fingertip white. This phone turned out too nice to be parted out. Now my wife has a gorgeous white reconditioned Princess phone.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for restoring old yellowed plastic on anything!

*by C***. on April 8, 2016*

I used this stuff by itself basically as Retr0bright substitute. My friend had recently bought me a NES as a birthday gift and time had not been kind to the plastic. UV light from years of sitting around had yellowed the grey plastic. I wanted to restore it and I did a lot of research and found that this stuff plus a black light and time was all you needed to get rid of that ugly color. After a test on an old yellowed speaker I got the courage to actually apply this "beauty product" to my 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System. After about 8 hours of sitting in plastic bags under a black light while being covered in this peroxide creme my NES looked like I just opened it out of the box, I was completely blow away! For the price I still have so much to clean and restore other old electronics. Great product! Also, I'm sure it works great for hair too. I wouldn't use my review for that though.***See photo for the difference it made on the body of the console vs the untreated cartridge door***

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maximum lightening, stays in place and doesn't drip off side of head

*by J***A on April 20, 2019*

I use this Marianna developer with Clairol BW2 powder lightener to take my extremely resistant medium brown hair to a nice sunny blond. For decades, I used Clairol Professional - Pure White Soy Complex Crème Developer with the BW2 but what I was experiencing with that combination was that if I mixed enough powder in the developer that it was thick and would not fall off where it was developing on the sides or back of my head (vertical surface) it would start getting dried out, sort of like a dried out foam. The alternative was to add more developer so it was 'wetter' but then it was not thick enough to stay on vertical parts of my head and would start sliding and dripping down, and would be hard to keep it in place even with a plastic cap. So when I experimented with Marianna - it's got a thicker cream consistency so I can add much more of the developer so the mix stays wet through the processing, but also stays in place. It's that small difference that makes a big improvement in the logistics of sides and back of head.So now my go to formula is Marianna Super Star Creme Developer 40 Volume, mixed with Clairol Professional - Pure White Soy Complex Crème Developer - in a proportion of wet to dry that mixes up to a consistency like whipped cream that is just starting to thicken, with soft peaks just starting to form but with points that droop over immediately. This gives it just enough body to stay in place, but enough moisture to stay wet and keep in contact with the hair as it foams and expands while the hair dryer heats it.I find that if I just let it sit on my hair cold - my hair will not get to blond even if I left it on an hour or more. Instead, I cover the bleach covered strands with a plastic cap, then heat with a hairdryer on low for 4 minutes, remove the cap and check the color, mush the heated foamed up bleach mixture back into a cream and ensure all hair is in contact with the solution, cover again with the cap and heat another 2 minutes. Check again for color and usually this is just about perfect, and rinse.I had also experimented with Schwarzkopf Premium lift 9 developer and powder that must have some built-in extra chemicals that causes it to heat by itself so you don't need a hair dryer, but while it was a great idea, the initial thick texture would break down in that process and by the time it was hot it was also becoming more liquid and starting to run off the sides of my head. So it seems best to use this simpler powder and developer method and apply the heat externally myself for more control.
