My pull up bar in 1.7 inches in diameter, will the S hook work on it safely?

Hi - unfortunately the S hook only fits bars up to 1.38" in diameter. If you had a strap you could possibly remove the S hook and cinch the handle rope on the strap.

I weigh 210 pounds and they easily hold my weight.

Its 10.5" from the center of the bar to center of handle, and 12" from top of hook to the bottom of the handle.
