No added colours, flavouring or preservatives. It all started with my mother Elizabeth (locally known as Betty) baking shortbread and oatcakes to her own handed down recipes, for local friends and family, who soon became her dedicated customers. Our first bakery was in the forest at the foot of the Cairn O'Mount mountain in Royal Deeside and although we have now moved to the other side of the mountain very few things have changed. They have a tender, buttery mouthfeel. They are pretty thick but have a light and delicate quality. I have bought these cookies several times and they are now on repeat! Every times they have arrived fresh, and looking very nice. I don't recall any broken cookies. My current box doesn't have any broken shortbread.
