Overkill but great.
This is complete overkill but it addresses the two things I hate about RO systems: - The large tank - Water dribbling out and taking forever to fill coffee pot. It is compact for what it is and fits under the sink very nicely. Makes a noise while dispensing but it isn't that bad -- the water running is about as loud. Fills my pitcher in about 20 seconds so that is great. Would 28 seconds be OK? Yea probably the 1200 would have been fine too. The bayonet style filters are a personal preference choice. It does make them more expensive to replace but they are FAR easier than the filters where you have to dis-assemble the unit to replace them. I am a little bit concerned about the longevity of the computerized dispenser. It works well but a mechanical lever would have been just fine. The quantity knob is kind of nifty but mostly a gimmick. Would be really cool if it could be pulled out and run directly into coffee pot. The dispenser is much larger than I thought looking at the pictures and leaves lots of room to fill large containers. Installation was very easy except for two things I forgot to order: 1) A drip mat. Has not leaked and I don't expect it to but I don't want to have to pull it out to replace filters. Past experience is something always drips. Maybe I over-tighten or under-tighten something, maybe I accidentally yank one of the hoses out while messing around, maybe filters drip when removing them. Better safe than sorry. 2) A proper drain connector to attach drain line to garbage disposal dishwasher line instead of drilling holes. My particular installation does not have a vertical pipe long enough to drill due to deep sink but even if it did I prefer to hook up with plumbed in connectors rather than the saddle clamp. Other than forgetting those things their claim that installation takes less than half the time as a traditional tank system are absolutely true. The hardest part was lugging bucket after bucket of water out to dump on the garden during the 35 minute flush cycle. Water tastes great (I got the alkaline re-mineralization version). My water was never horrible in the first place though -- main use is to remove salt added by water softener. Update from Spouse in case Waterdrop reads these: A great product would be even better if the base of the dispenser was slightly larger and it came with a pull-out hose similar to the sink faucet. I would love to be able to just hold it over the coffee pot.

Exceptional Service and Top-Quality RO Systems
I contacted Waterdrop regarding an issue I was experiencing with my existing RO system, and the entire process exceeded my expectations. I decided to upgrade to the X16, and Waterdrop made the transition seamless by sending a replacement for my current system for only a service fee, with a simple return process. What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service, especially the support I received from Harper. Harper went above and beyond, patiently helping me troubleshoot my current system and clearly explaining the benefits and setup of the new X16. Their knowledge, responsiveness, and willingness to make sure everything was handled correctly made the experience stress free. I now have two GPD800 systems and an X16, and I couldn’t be happier. Excellent products backed by outstanding customer support. Highly recommend Waterdrop and their systems!

Order taste great, the flow is fantastic and I love the new faucet
The water taste great! This is probably the most important thing for me, that the water is filtered properly and it tastes great. It was very easy to install, although I had a plumber do it as I had to remove my downpipe and get a low profile one so it would fit correctly under my sink. I would’ve given this five stars except I needed to spend an extra 39.95 as I had to buy a WD – XT pressure tank so it could connect to my fridge without the pump cycling on and off and on and off. I thought that as expensive as this unit was, it should’ve included the cold water pressure tank hook up for my fridge instead of having me purchase that separately. I do love the fact that my fridge and ice now is completely RO filtered as well. The flow is nothing short of fantastic and I love the new faucet and taste.

2 Stars for now - Will Update Review Once I Recieve Necessary Cable Extension To Fully Review
I bought the X16 in mid december and installed a few days later - 12/21/25. It is to early to tell if this is worth the cost. Setup and install is straight forward ... you have to use the faucet to properly setup and it has a timer to intermittely run for 30 minutes. I was able to do this but had to place the x16 in a temporary location as the electrical cable between faucet and x16 is 4' and will not work for the permanent location in my scenario. I need this cable to be longer. I have reached out to Waterdrop and am working with Doreen to get an extension. They only offer a 2.2' extension which will just barely work for mysetup - they do not offer longer. My current issue is that apparently they do not have these instock and said they should have them this weekend - so I am waiting to see if they do send me this extension in a timely fashion. Currently I have the unit connected only to my fridge water/ice dispenser and it is working. However for me to justify the cost for this I need a functioning RO faucet and want to use the one that is tied to their system via control cable vs another one. I will update this on whether they do send the extension and how the system works with it or if they do not and I end up returning it ... again if I am going to purchase a RO system for this cost I am expecting all the Bells and Whistles.

Great tankless RO that looks modern
Got this for my espresso machine. It's been super, though like all tankless units, it suffers from TDS creep, but just drinking water first and then pouring some more makes it reach my desired TDS. Be sure to read the manual to enable faucet mode though, I don't know why that isn't the default setting.
