Love these earbuds!
Really pleasantly surprised by how much I love these! Backstory: I was a Samsung girlie for a long time, and really loved my Galaxy FE buds. Unfortunately the left earbud stopped working within a year of getting them (luckily they were under warranty and I got it replaced/fixed, but then the left one stopped working AGAIN within another 6 months, and the right one about two months after that. Sigh). But honestly, I loved them enough that I was going to just get them again and hope for the best... that is, until I read the reviews and saw SO many people complaining about how quickly they stopped working. So I decided I didn't want to risk it and went on the hunt for something different. I exhaustively read lots of reviews on several different earbuds, and was honestly getting discouraged until I read the reviews on these and saw that they were... gasp... actually mostly positive! I was intrigued. Then I remembered that a friend had highly recommended this brand, but the bone conducting headset (Open Run Pro2). I knew I would rather have individual earbuds vs something that wrapped around the back of my head, so the Open Dots seemed like they might be a better fit for my needs. I was skeptical that they would be too big and clunky, and that I would miss the noise cancelling option of my old ear buds. But to my surprise, I've really enjoyed them and think that I'm a convert now! They were super easy to set up and connect to my phone (had to download an app to tweak settings, but that was super simple too). They are comfortable and light despite being larger than your average bud. They also feel quite secure on my ear, and I'm not really worried about them falling off. I wear glasses and they don't get in the way at all (which I had worried about with the Open Run Pro 2 headset). I like that the buds are interchangeable (they both work in both ears). The sound is really very good for being "open air" style, enough so that I don't miss the noise canceling as much as I thought I would. Sometimes in extra loud situations (like someone talking loudly near you), it's annoying not to have, but for the most part it hasn't been a deal breaker for me. I actually kind of enjoy being able to hear the ambient noises of my surroundings more than I thought I would. When I have them paused, I can hear everything around me, including if someone needs to talk to me (aka I don't have to take the earbud out of my ear in order to hear them, which is really nice). I got the pink ones, and I really like the color... the shiny part is like a rose gold, and the matte part is more like a dusty rose color (so it feels more classy, and not punch you in the face pink). They also have a 2 year manufacturers warranty, which I think is awesome compared to the single year that most companies offer. Cons: - They aren't the most responsive to the double tapping. Shokz did release a firmware update to make them MORE sensitive, but then it kind of toes the line of being TOO sensitive/responsive, so I currently have that option turned off. It still works, it just usually takes a couple of intentional double tap tries. Pinching the battery part on the back of the ear works more reliably to pause/play, but I'm just so used to the double tap from my old set that I just do it instinctually. - The notification noises are quite loud. For awhile, I was having an issue when I had it paired to both my phone and my tablet, that when I walked in and out of range from the tablet while listening to music on my phone, it would make an unnecessarily loud notification noise in my ear as it disconnected/reconnected each time. I finally had to unpair it from my tablet altogether because it was driving me crazy. If that notification noise could be adjusted (or at least just lowered), that would be a huge improvement! Overall, I'm very happy with these and I'm glad I took the chance on them!! Here's hoping they last longer than my Galaxy FEs did!

Amazing comfort and Great sound.
I just started using the Shokz OpenDots One and fell in love. Sound is not meant to be audiophile level but they hold their own especially for open air buds. I purchased for workout, dog walk, and around the house when other are present. The sound has good depth of field, lots of headroom for volume, and enjoyable highs without being harsh. Bass is decent (again open air is not going to thump you). It's a very enjoyable experience. Comfort is one of OpenDots greatest strengths. Completely forgot they were there. Two hours later i am watching Hulu on my PC while also being connected to my phone. Materials feel soft and high-end. The app is easy to use and intuitive. Connection is extremely smooth. I own several buds including Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra, PowerBeats, and high-end custom 64 Audio IEMs. The Bose are always an issue with comfort and staying in my ear during any activity. The sound great but comfort is not even close. The OpenDots while not the sound level of $2k IEMS, are amazing for their designed purpose. So far, I am super impressed!

approved for glass wearing, and long usage.
Absoulutly love these. They are extremly light and after working and wearing them for 16 hours,, no pain in or on my ear. If you wear glasses, these are your answer. The other styles of over the ear, and even the inner ear always fought with my glasses arms, causing pain. With these there is no interference. So this is a great design. The sound quality and volume range are both very good. Though you trade the noise cancelling of the inner ear model, I like being aware of my surroundings, and I said before no pain from wearing the inner ear version. I got a whole day charge out of mine. This was with taking phone calls also. When I asked those how the sound quality on their end was, all agreed was fine. No noticeable difference from other my blue parrot design. These are easy to connect to my android phone. and there is a bit of a learning curve on the ear piece usage, I have easily picked it up.

These are probably the most comfortable earbuds ever!
I bought these because I workout a lot and spend a ton of time in the gym. I own about 8 paid of ear buds or headphones and decided to buy these because I have a tragus piercing on each ear and traditional ear buds make the tragus cartilage tender and itchy. I’m going to tell you, immediately, that there are alot of pros to these earbuds. First, they’re absolutely beautiful and they look really nice when you’re wearing them (which wasn’t even a priority but is a huge perk), the sound quality rivals some of my most expensive brands and does not sound tinny or muffled, the people around me can’t hear my music, podcasts are incredibly clear, the controls are easy to use, the battery life is better than most of my other earbuds, and they’re comfortable. However, the biggest two pros in this list are: 1. They don’t hurt my ears regardless of how long I’m wearing them. 2. Even when I’m listening to music, I can hear the world around me. These earbuds get very loud - but I’ve never maxed them out so I can’t speak to the actual sound level it can reach; but, it is for sure louder than anyone probably needs it to be. The one con I have is the fit. These earbuds slide on me a little bit and when they aren’t placed correctly they turn off. This is *MY* con, but it may not be your con. I have incredibly small ears and I don’t think the average person will experience slippage due to the (soft) silicon material. Keep in mind the reason they turn off when it believes they’re not in use is to preserve battery life so I don’t have a problem with that. Also, on the note of battery, I feel like I charge them… maybe every 8 or 9 days? It’s not very often considering the amount of hours being used between charges. And, finally, I would absolutely recommend these earbuds for anyone who lives an active lifestyle, doesn’t want noise cancellation, or who has a piercing that traditional ear buds irritate. I’m a picky consumer and would not hesitate to recommend these earbuds or replace them if I needed another pair. It was a great purchase. I took off 1 star because I wish they were slightly tighter on my ears.

Absolutely Fantastic!
I have tried every type of earbud under the sun, and like many others have found nothing that has both the staying power (doesn't fall out) as well as quality sound. These are 100% my new favorite product! 1) super easy to pair with my iPhone 2) easy operation of taps for sound control and play/pause or answer/hang up on calls 3) SUPER lightweight! Wore them all day and barely noticed 4) Excellent sound quality for the person you are calling - got great feedback from my aging parents that they could hear me fine, even with road noise when driving. 5) Excellent sound quality for me - I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I can clearly hear what I am playing, and also what is going on around me...so it doesn't cancel noise, but that is my personal preference as I don't like blocking out the world. 6) Size is great - not big and clunky 7) Great battery life and easy to use while wearing I may get some for my family member's for birthdays or holidays!!!

You'r Everyday Carry Earbuds
From a design standpoint, the Shokz OpenDots One measure up quite well. They fit my ears as well and, which are quite comfortable. They have a flexible connector that Shokz refers to as a JointArc and says "provides a gentle yet secure grip on various ear shapes" while noting that "soft silicone strategically placed on the exterior of the speaker further minimizes pressure, even during extended wear." As with all clip-on buds, the OpenDots One, as their name implies, feature an open design. That means the bud and driver sit over your ear canal.Open buds allow for sound to leak into your ears or want to hear the outside world around them for safety reasons. The OpenDots One offer a secure fit and work well for runners. They have an IP54 rating, which means they'll provide protection from "light rain and sweat" and are also dust-resistant. The touch controls take some to get used to. You can either tap the battery compartment or JointArc or "pinch" the battery with two fingers to control playback and answer/end calls. You can set the long tap and hold gesture to either adjust volume, activate your voice assistant or advance tracks forward and back. Shokz says the OpenDots One feature its Bassphere technology that "combines dual 11.8 mm drivers in a spherical module to replicate the performance of a 16mm driver." They also feature Dolby Audio and Shokz' DirectPitch technology, which minimizes sound leakage so people near you can't hear what you're listening to (or hear it very faintly anyway). You have to engage Dolby Audio in the Shokz App for iOS and Android and it does open the sound a bit and everything sound a tad fuller. It's simply some form of digital processing and it's unclear whether it impacts battery life but you can hear a difference when engaging it. The sound of all clip-on buds changes slightly with how you position the buds on your ears (you can slide the bud up or down a bit to find the most comfortable fit but the positioning may impact sound quality). The OpenDots One have "Dynamic Ear Detection" that allows the earbuds to automatically recognize which bud is in which ear, so no left or right markers are needed. They link with the Shokz App for iOS and Android, which "enables multipoint pairing between two devices, 4 pre-set EQ modes plus two personalized EQ, Find My Earbuds and more." Bluetooth: 5.4 and Dolby Audio The OpenDots One are rated for up to 10 hours of use on on a single charge, with an additional 30 hours of battery in the charging case, which does feature wireless charging. These are my everyday earbuds along with my Edifier Lolliclips which I carry for backup. Both are Extremly great. I have the black and now I will be ordering the Grey ones.

Liked but didn’t love
I am someone who likes the convenience of Bluetooth earbuds but finds them very uncomfortable and gets ear fatigue very quickly. I purchased these open-ear headphones for comfort, and also because I have a toddler at home so I need to always be able to hear over whatever I’m listening to. For me these headphones have pros and cons. I definitely found them more comfortable than regular earbuds, however I also did still experience ear fatigue. The benefit of these over regular earbuds is that you can adjust them a little so they rest on a slightly different part of your ear, which allows for a bit longer wear. I like that I can wear just one at a time, and as other have stated the sounds is really quite good. I can also hear my toddler very easily and that was crucial for me. My cons are that they never felt like they were sitting quite right, or they wouldn’t stay in a place that felt like the right spot, or maybe one would feel like it was but the other one didn’t. How well you can hear definitely depends on where the headphone is sitting in your ear. This may be specific to the pair I received, but the double tap to play/pause did not work well at all. This was very frustrating if my toddler or husband came up to me to try and talk and I couldn’t get the dang things to pause. And, as I mentioned, they are more comfortable than regular earbuds but I was still experiencing ear fatigue. For all of these reasons, I’ve decided I like these headphones but do not love them. And for the price I need to love them. Therefore I will be returning mine. Hope this helped someone!
