I have a hard-shell Roadie cooler which I absolutely love. Fill it with ice and the things you want to keep cold and it does that job brilliantly. The downside is that it's heavy and it will smash your shins to splinters if it catches you while it's loaded. This Hopper solves that problem for me. Space inside it excellent and it swallowed a night's worth of drinks and a bag of ice with no problem. Insulation seems to be at least as good as the hard-shell siblings, and I had plenty of ice left even after 24 hours. The zip comes with a little tag telling you to PULL HARD and they really mean it. The cost of having a heat and water proof seal is that it can be brutal to get open, but they thought of that and they provide some zip lube. There's also a nice shoulder strap which solves my shin-smashing problem. This has become my go-to for taking beers on a night out, and I save the chunky plastic cooler for full weekends.

This YETI Hopper Flip has been on my wishlist for ages. As someone who owns other YETI products. I knew this would be an excellent edition. Their products are of durable quality and never disappoint. The insulation performance is excellent. The fridge broke down, and I used this cooler to store freezer food with ice packs. The ice packs are still cold at day 2. This thing is huge, so make sure you have the room to store it, as you can not fold the cooler down. I adore the cosmic lilac purple colourway. The YETI Hopper Flip 18 cool bag is the largest capacity in the range. You can add additional hopper accessories. The hopper has the following features Hydrolok zipper Coldcell insulation Dryhide shell that withstands punctures and UV rays Tie-Down Points: Six D-ring tie-down points give you multiple ways to secure the Hopper. Double-Stitch Carry Option: With a detachable shoulder strap. With the above features, this cool bag is portable, leakproof, puncture-proof, and keeps your stuff cool for days. The large 18 L size can hold up to 20 cans of drinks. I have placed a 5-litre bottle of water for reference. In the instructions, it is recommended to prep the bag with ice to cool the interior and ensure your items are cold before placing them. The inside is well-padded and is unlike typical soft insulated bags out there. The Hydrolok zipper was tough to unzip at first, as you need to tug at an angle to release. I love that this model flips out with a wide opening. Seeing everything at a glance. The package also includes the shoulder straps for easy transport.

Yeti have surpassed my expections with this soft cooler. I know Yeti products to be extremely tough with robust and durable construction whilst maintaining highly functional designs and cool aesthetics. Besides its temperature maintaining abilitities the most stand out aspects of the cooler is its build quality and Yeti's attention to detail. It could be described as over engineered but i just think they've thought of everything. Numerous carry positions offered by capable handles and straps that have reinforced stitching make it very user friendly and practical for all sorts of activities and uses. Despite being a soft cooler it has a semi rigid construction, it doesn't collapse or fold down. That's down to its dense insulation. So it maintains its shape and offers the contents good protection whilst being very lightweight. The main benefit of this dense insulatuon is how efficient it is at maintaining the temperature within. This paired with the chunky zip that makes it practically air and water tight. Obviously it all depends on lots of criteria but during my use so far it has exceeded my expectations and has impressed me on every use. That's both cold and warm storage. This will get most of its use with our family over the summer with beach trips, picnics, days out and camping. Over the colder and wetter months I'll be using this to transport takeaways that I have gone to collect to take back home or transporting groceries. We live rurally and these trips are long enough to require such measures. As a family of six this is ideally sized for our needs, even with packing it with ice packs. I love the material Yeti have used for the surfaces. All wipe clean and it takes on no food odours. It also seems quite resilient to damage. You could get any cool bag and it probably would last ten years, this would too (probably way beyond) but the difference is I am confident this will maintain its stunning aestetics and temperature maintaining abilities for its lifespan. I highly doubt it will deteripate with age. Without doubt its built to last. I think it offers fair value for money. There is an element of paying for the label with Yeti but with that comes their reputation and generous warranty. But it is easy to see why it is priced at the top end of the market . Very few manufaturers offer this level of dedication and attention to detail.

This is an excellent quality cool box that does the job intended really well , I'm using it in my shed to keep mainly drinks nice and chilled , I've been really impressed with how chilled this YETI Hopper Flipper 18 cool box keeps cans of drink , I've had cans in there for days and they still feel really cold. The capacity is very good , certainly enough room for a family picnic or to store a lot of water bottles or around 20 cans of fizzy pop, also very handy for me to keep milk in there for making tea and coffee in my shed. The cool box doesn't collapse down , it's not the most compact but it has a good cavernous interior for keeping food , drink nice and chilled, the build quality is superb, it has attachment loops on it for attachment of other small pouches, the shoulder strap is excellent quality, very string and durable feeling and comfortable on my shoulder, the top carry handle is also robust and easy to hold. The zip is a little stiff , it needs a good pull to open at first , zipper oil is included to help it run smoothly and maintain the zipper ,,it's well sealed though and very good quality zippers to keep the interior well sealed and insulated. Overall its a very good quality cool box for outdoors picnics, camping, campervans, it's perfect for what I need it for , keeping my drinks nicely stored and chilled.
