DOES A GOOD JOB REPLACING A FAILED INTERNAL LAPTOP SPEAKER
June 7 2026This replaced my deceased internal laptop speaker. I've been using it a couple of months now, and am still very happy with it. Not surround sound, of course, but does the job as well as the one it replaced. I just like to hear those normal computer sounds for alerts, crossword puzzle complete, email arrived, etc. Easy “install”, just plugged it into the USB port and done. Volume is controlled same as before, with the speaker icon in the system tray. Or you can use the lighted scroll wheel on the speaker itself. The only drawback, if you could call it that, is that now the sound comes from a different direction, depending on where I place the speaker, just not from inside my laptop anymore. It was weird at first, but I got over it! LOL
