Are these 33x12.50? I dont know the other term...

It actually calculates out to 32.811 x 12.0079. the 305 is the tire width in mm which converts to 12.0079 inches and the 70 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the tread width so 70% of 305 is 213.5mm. you have to double this number because there is a top and bottom sidewall when measuring height and you add in the rim diameter which is 406.4mm. all of that adds up to 833.4mm which converts to 32.811 inches.

Are they quiet on the road?

Yes I've found them to be very quiet in my FJ cruiser. I switched to them from half worn BFG Mud Tsrrain km2s which had gotten very loud and these have almost no noise in comparison. All I hear now is wind noise and no tire noise.
