The device 2 amps at 120vac. **Q: If i buy this how will i clean it so it will not get slimy on the bottom?** A: These are maintenance type cleaning. You will need to disassemble it to get the top off to clean where the ice is made. Also the tube where the water is pumped up there. Search YT for instructions. It gets nasty. I did not know and we got sick. **Q: Will the machine shut off when the water runs out** A: The machine will shut off when the water runs low before it will ever run out. If you are not going to use this ice maker for a while you may wish to pull the plug on the bottom to drain the residual water out.
