猟具としての使用を想定して購入を決めました。 購入にはずいぶんと迷いました。 日本の法律の問題で、刃渡り５．５センチ以下でなければダメだからです 日本の法律に触れないようにしているのかと問い合わせても、海外にあるからわからないとの返事ですし そして法に触れるような商品であれば、破棄するしかないし こうした商品によくある刃をつけないで日本に送られた場合は、今度は刃を付ける作業が必要になる しかし猟具店の猟具用の槍よりは、刃を付ける分を加えても安いからと購入を決めましたが。 結局、税関に引っかかり届く事はありませんでした

As with the other M48 series of weapons the Talon is of top quality and utility. The length makes it a perfect walking stick, especially with the sheath on the end. This is an extremely practical weapon. The handle is short but well made and long enough to give you and advantage in a fight and short enough if you are in a tight spot, it even has grip at the base of the spear head itself. The nylon/fiberglass handle is very sturdy and nearly indestructible allowing it to take considerable punishment. The spear head itself is well crafted and extremely dense with a good shape. The designers did a bang up job on it. I have used this to pry wooden planks and actually as a slashing weapon against bamboo mats. It's design allows for easy removal even if sticks in something hard. With a whetstone it takes an edge almost immediately. Aerodynamically it is a bit off due to the light weight construction of the handle but if you choke up a bit you can get an accurate hard throw up to about 25'.

This spear is very heavy duty. I am happy with the blade and the stuff the handle is made of. I would buy it again.

Careful when you open cause you might just cut yourself! Shipping was a little slow but understandable with the holidays. Very well made and solid. A nice product.

WOW, was für ein Spitzenteil. Der Speer ist grundsolide verarbeit, Rasiermesserscharf und zusätzlich mehrfach verschraubt. Leider muss ich auch bemängeln, dass die Scheide aus Kunststoff ist und es schon einer gewissen Vorsicht bedarf, diese abzunehmen, bzw aufzusetzen. Bei unvorsichtigem Handling wird die Scheide beschädigt, bzw. von der,scharfen Klinge aufgeschnitten. Von euren Fingern ganz zu schweigen.... Der Schwerpunkt liegt ziemlich weit vorne, daher zum werfen nur für kurze Distanzen geeignet. Es ist eher eine Nahkampfwaffe Ich habe mir den Speer, zwecks besserer Griffigkeit mit einem elastischen Tarngewebeband umwickelt. Jetzt liegt er deutlich besser in der Hand Für die noch unentschlossenen sei gesagt, das die Speere von z.B. Kotte-Zeller für um die 30€ ( obwohl diese Firma wirklich zu empfehlen ist ) mit diesem Spitzenteil bei weitem nicht mithalten können. Nehmt lieber etwas mehr Geld in die Hand, von der Qualität kann einiges abhängen ! der Speer erhält von mir volle 5 Sterne. *****
