Worked right away, no issues!
Installed this maint cartridge and working like a charm. Hoping that it lasts a long time. I had one last 14 months after running loads of printing on it. Will keep check on it every week and see how it goes.

works with ipf8400, cheaper ones may be half price but they dont work

True OEM part
This is an OEM replacement and the best price I found it worked perfectly. The printer recognized the cartridge and it is functioning as it should.

Seems overpriced, but simple/easy to install.
The Canon (iPF 8400) hasn't been exactly the cheapest printer, but compared to my Epson 9800, it is an absolute dream to maintain. I'll take these overpriced accessories any day over the archaic software and maintenance of the Epson monster. Everything down to print-head failures are user-serviceable and super easy to do. As to this maintenance cartridge, I wish there was a non-disposable alternative, as really all it's doing is collecting excess ink. We should be able to rinse and replace, IMO. 5 stars for the printer, 3 stars for this cartridge.
