Hi Jessica, I'm using a water color palette it's the Mijello Fusion Airtight/Leakproof Palette. It doesn't stink and i've been using the Palette for 2 months. I hope this was helpful.

Q: Does it crack I know these are artist watercolours but will they crack in pans

These are tube, moist watercolor paints. Some paints are sold in pans. These are not in pans. If you are asking, do they crack when in spaces on palette, not if you use them regularly. If they do dry out, just activate by squirting water on them 1/2hr before painting and they will be ready to use. They will not be as "juicy", but will be fine enough to use successfully. Hope this helps.

I am sorry I do not know. I can say I love these paints.
