A comfortable to use low profile keyboard mouse combination
TeckNet Wireless Keyboard and Mouse SetMy first impressions of the keyboard when I unpacked the box was how heavy the keyboard actually was, which is unusual as many other keyboards I have tried recently have been quite lightweight in comparison. The keyboard is of an attractive low profile design it has an outer bevel which runs around the outer edge of the keys. There is a bit of an edge where the top of the keyboard is fixed to the base, it's not sharp but it could perhaps have been finished slightly smoother although having said that it could just be unique to the keyboard I received? The keyboard is nicely designed with it being low profile which puts less stress on your wrists in my opinion. This is described in the listing as being whisper-quiet, to be perfectly honest I wouldn't describe it as whisper-quiet as I can hear the keys being pressed down, there is definitely no clicking sound but there is a definite klonk as each key is depressed, but is is quieter than many keyboards I have tried. The keyboard seems to be well built and is a dream to use. As described above, it's quite heavy so it does remain firmly on the desk when being used. The mouse again is low profile with just the three buttons, again it's very comfortable to use as it fits the hand nicely. I can rest my hand on the desk whilst holding the mouse so again there is less strain on my wrist. In use - The keyboard takes two AAA batteries and the mouse takes a single AA battery. There is a small USB nano transmitter located inside the mouse battery compartment. I popped the USB transmitter into a spare USB port on my PC and within seconds the keyboard and mouse were detected, drivers were installed automatically and I was up and running.I tried to press the keys of the keyboard gently to see how quiet I could get the keyboard to become, but that didn't work too well as some of the key presses weren't acknowledged, so it was back to normal typing and all worked well again, but not really whisper-quiet in my opinion. The mouse was very comfortable to use, the cursor moves smoothly across the screen without any sign of skipping or jitter. I use the mouse on a cloth covered mousepad where is works without issue but on the desk without a mouse mat it was a little hit and miss. The mouse buttons give a positive click when pressed, the middle scroll wheel feels as it should, the scrolling is smooth with a very slight ratchet feel to it. The mouse moves at 1600Dpi, you cannot adjust the Dpi but it does seem to be about right for me at this factory Dpi settingOverall this is nice wireless keyboard mouse set, it is comfortable to use although not whisper-quiet as described in the listing, having said that it is not noisy. The battery should last a decent length of time although the listing contradicts itself as the images claim, 10 months life for the mouse and 8 months life for the keyboard yet in the listing details it claims 6 months battery life for the mouse? The User guide that is supplied in the box states up to 6 months battery life so personally I will go with that.A very nice wireless keyboard/mouse - RecommendedBox contents -1X Wireless keyboard1X Wireless mouse1X USB Nano receiver (located in mouse battery compartment)1X User guide1X Warranty cardIf you have found my review at all helpful I would very much appreciate you clicking the 'Helpful' button below, thank you.

A Great Quality Keyboard and Mouse Combo at a Great Price!
The combo comes in Tecknet's standard plain brown recyclable frustration free packaging. Easy to open and contents well protected in delivery. Personally a big fan of this no nonsense approach. The box contents include the keyboard, some brief instructions and a second box containing the mouse. The set uses a single nano USB receiver which is stored under the battery cover of the mouse when not in-use/travelling. This storage feature, although simple, is great to have when hot-desking and something more main stream manufactures sometimes overlook. The nano USB is plug-and-play, no drivers necessary, and I have had no issues at all using on Windows & Linux. Sorry no MACs around!.The mouse takes 1x AA and the keyboard 2x AAAs . No batteries are included with the set but for this money it’s by no means a complaint. The batteries are easy enough to insert into both units and fit snuggly. On/Off switch on bottom of mouse but no switch on keyboard. The Keyboard is very comfortable to use for long periods (8+ hours). Keys give good positive feedback with short travel and near silent operation which is excellent in an open plan office environment. No flexing of the chassis with general day to day use that I’ve been aware of. The feet give a good height for me personally but a colleague did use for a short period and did say could be higher (and therefore steeper angle) for them. The overall build quality of the keyboard is very impressive. Two-tone effect is pleasing to the eye. The keyboard has a good weight to it, enough rubber dots around underside perimeter and overall stays where it’s placed. The feet do not have rubber tips but this not seem to impact at all. The shortcut keys work well with Windows environments and the addition and placement of the dedicated calculator key at the top right of the num pad is a lovely touch. Tecknet have included status LED's for the Caps lock, Numlock & Low Battery Warning. Another feature often missed on more expensive and main stream attempts. The Mouse is more than acceptable as a daily driver. It’s sleek, light weight and glides well. I would however recommend using with a mouse mat to maintain. The mouse doesn't feel cheap at all but just not as solid a device as the keyboard. The switches are responsive and definitely not the most ‘clicky’ I’ve come across. Middle ground on noise. The scroll wheel has a nice smooth ratcheted action which was a pleasant surprise. Overall shape is a subtle teardrop with highest point about 30mm off the working surface. Great for me as a palm gripper but claw grippers with bigger hands may find extend use uncomfortable. No DPI switching but no loss there for general day to day multitasking. Sensor seems fine. Certainly had not problems with missed movements so far!Overall, a great keyboard and mouse combo. It does exactly what I want it to do, with no compromise on quality or functionality. For the price being asked, this combo is excellent value for money and feels like it will last!

Not a bad keyboard - and mouse
The good:Not a bad keyboard.Keyboard construction feels robust. The keys feel nice to use.And I think the keyboard design looks good too.The mouse feels solid and feels good in use.The mouse buttons have a good positive feel when pressed.Uses one small USB dongle that works for both peripherals. The not so good (annoying things):Two different battery types required. AAAs for keyboard, and AA for mouse. The keyboard keys (and mouse buttons) are far from "whisper quiet" - as advertised.I would prefer the rear flip-down feet on the rear of the keyboard to be longer - tilting the keyboard higher. Also there is no DPI adjustment button on the mouse.LEDs for CapsLock, battery, and Num Lock are not very bright - difficult to see in my office environment. At the end of the day not a bad keyboard, and worth the money.Would I recommend?...............Not really - I think there are probably better keyboards out there in this price range.

Good Quality Keyboard And Mouse - Quiet Click Key Presses
The keyboard and mouse come as a complete package. The keyboard takes 1 x AAA battery whilst the mouse takes the larger AA battery. The keyboard and mouse connected immediately to my laptop and my desktop computer which are both Apple and Windows. No configuration needed. The keys are soft press and don't make much sound when pressed. The keyboard has a number of handy features built in such as volume control, one click mail button and a few others to control played music. The keyboard is light but doesn't move around unless you deliberately move it.Good price for a well made keyboard and mouse.
