Incredible!
*Detailed Review* We wanted a generator to primarily support our cruiser boat (30A plug) while out on the โhookโ overnight aka not connected to shore power. We were MORE than impressed by the power and efficiency this unit has. We purchased the 4000, dual fuel, remote start and all I can say is WOW! USE: The remote start / stop is a game changer for our use. We keep it on our swim platform, 20 or so feet from our cabin interior. It simultaneously powers our boats aircon or heat, stovetop, TV, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, and all other boat features (lights, water pumps, etc) simultaneously SEE VIDEO. We can start it and stop it from the comfort of our bed without having to get up when itโs cooled down / heated up inside. In the video you can hear it in the background outside the cabin, but you can tell it is not too loud as we arenโt trying to talk loud over it running. UTILITY: The machine weighs in the 60# range if I remember correctly, which makes it very portable for my husband. For those of us less strong, it has a nice pullout handle feature, which enables it to be pulled or pushed around with ease. So far we have only used the gasoline fuel but wanted both gas + propane for any reason one or the other may be unavailable. I also wanted to mention the auto off CO detection feature we inadvertently found out about- while the unit was mounted and secured to our swim platform, we needed to move the boat slowly 10โ or so. As such, when we turned the boat off after the move, we realized that the unit was off. We surmised the exhaust from the boat, directly under the unit, was enough to engage the generators CO sensor and turn it off. And that was an incredible feature we did not know it possessed. This feature is obviously for if the generator itself produces then is stagnant of CO, a safety shut off feature. EFFICIENCY: While out on the hook, we can run it at normal (non efficiency mode) for 8 hours on and off a day, 3-4 days of the week and maybe only go through 2.5-3gallons of fuel. My most appreciative use was during hurricane Milton over this fall. While we had intended it for boat use, it came in handy when we went down to check on our other home. During the power outage, we had the house refrigerator, the lanai refrigerator, TV, many cell phones etc, all plugged in , for 14 solid hours and maybe burned through 5 gallons of gasoline on the efficient mode. As you can see, we are more than pleased with this Westinghouse unit and would recommend it.

Totally 5 stars " I love it"
"I already own a 2,000-watt generator that I love, but needed another one. Out of the box, it was a bit stubborn to start that very first time. I took a break, came back an hour later, and it fired right up. Since then, it hasn't failed to start once in over a year of regular use. The remote start worked smoothly when tested, though I usually start it manually. What really sold me is the high-altitude performance: I live in Colorado and regularly run it above 12,000 feet. It starts every single time, no matter what. Never leaves me without power. Easily 5 stars and highly recommended!"

ALL GOOD FIRST MONTH
Purchased to replace a 3500 watt Champion that gave me 5 years. The Westie is quieter and move efficient on the propane. Runs once a day for two systems so I upped the oil change schedule to compensate. I can ove this unit around much easier as well. Very satisfied so far.

Igen duel fuel remote
This was delivered Packed very well and on time. I was concerned because I'd never had a generator before, But found the instructions easy to use and followed them step by step, including watching several videos. I mostly intend to use propane. Once I went through the setup, it started on the second try using the remote. I really like that it has an electric start, a remote or a coil pull. I did a lot of research in westinghouse Seems like the best for what my needs were. I've tried it repeatedly over the last few days. It started every time. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I couldn't find the serial number and I called westinghouse's customer service number They answered on the first ring and She was able to help me locate it. So I appreciate that as well. It seems to be an excellent purchase for me.

Unreliable, and owners manual is a joke
I've owned this for a couple months and used this generator 3 times, a total of 20 hours. Tried to use it while camping this weekend and it wouldn't start. I tried everything in the manual (which is garbage - I'll get to that in a bit) and never got it to work. I called Westinghouse and their customer service gave me this advice: - check the oil (apparently if it has too much or too little it won't start. Mine is in the Goldilocks zone) - charge the battery. Haha - my generator was shipped without a battery charger. It took a while to figure out what he was talking about. - take the battery to an auto parts store to have them charge it and see if it's faulty. I took it to three auto parts stores amd they had noticeable how to charge or check this type of battery. - they are shipping me a battery charger, but the battery may or may not be faulty. Regarding the manual: - the manual says to try the electric starter and if that doesn't work, use the pull starter. Their customer service said the pull starter ONLY works if you're using propane (I was using gas) - the manual talk about the importance of changing the oil. Nowhere in the manual does it say how much oil to use. Apparently they want you do keep adding it until you get it right. SPOILER: too much and the generator won't start. - the manual leaves out the fact that oil level might keep it from starting - the manual doesn't talk.about charging the battery (which would have led me to the knowledge that I was supposed to have a battery charger) This generator was highly rated - HOW, I have no idea. I bought it because I needed a reliable generator. It isn't - it's been more or less a complete waste of money and if you're worried about buying a lemon, buy it for less than $750.
