Presidium Gem Tester II is based on the invention of Professor Julian Goldsmid, University of New South Wales in Australia. Developed using the principle of thermal conductivity to distinguish between diamonds and other similar products.

In the second generation, the Presidium Gem Tester II quickly and easily identifies diamonds/moissanite and separates up to 16 common colored gemstones based on thermal conductivity.

Please note that natural and synthetic gemstones resemble the same physical and optical properties. Therefore, Presidium Gem Tester II cannot distinguish between natural and synthetic gemstones.

Presidium Gem Tester II features:

Retractable thermoelectric probe tip ensures constant pressure between the probe tip and gemstone.
The thinnest probe tip in the industry (0.6mm) can test a 0.02ct diamond.
Metal warning buzzer to ensure that the probe tip comes in contact with jewelry during testing
