I tested it on a normal nylon bag. The bag was not water resistant at all from the start. The first time I washed the bag then applied TX Direct Spray, the fabric became slightly water resistant. I figured it could be improved. I washed it more deeply and rinsed it much better, then applied the TX Direct again. The second time the water beading is much better. It does work, just wash well and rinse thoroughly, then spray, wipe excess and you'll be good.

Use it for washing my Osprey backpack after my weekly hike. Singapore weather so hot and humid. After every hiking or walking trip my back and backpack will be sweaty. So this product is good. Just small capful and able to handwash my backpack and hiking shoe together as well if required. Definitely a good purchase. However, price a bit on the high side.

This works great on our rain gear, both Gore-tex and Bass Pros Bone Dry plus. If your gear gets accidentally washed in regular detergent ( which plugs it, losing its waterproofing) this will clean the fabric and make it water proof again.

I've utilized this product numerous times over the years. It does what it is supposed to do. Excellent for cleaning/washing my gore tex jacket and pants for skiing/snowboarding. Ensuring that your washing machine is clean and prepared properly before using the product is a must. I usually wait until the washing machine has been put through its Pure Clean Cycle (done monthly) before washing my gore tex items. It ensures that regular detergent and fabric softener have been rinsed thoroughly from the washing machine before using Nikwax Tech Wash.
