Is this item good for peeling monkeys or just potatoes?

I have not peeled any monkeys yet; monkeys are not in season here, so I will have to wait til then. I am sure it will work fine, though.

Can the peeler be used by left-handed people?

Although I am right-handed, I believe it could, just as easily, be used by lefties. I love this peeler! I bought it because it is cute, but it is the best peeler I've ever had. The bird body makes it ergonomic. Try it!
