Pop socket has always made good quality products. This one being magnetic is amazing. It allows you to take it off for wireless charging no sticky substance to put on the back of your phone in order for it to stay. The magnet works very good and the kickstand is definitely worth the extra money. Very easy to use. It looks nice. It’s comfortable to hold and it feels like it’s gonna last a long time.

I absolutely love this pop socket. I’ve used pop sockets for at least a decade now and they did not disappoint with this. It’s very versatile since you can use the actual pop socket or the flip out mode for a vertical or horizontal set up on your phone. Is it the strong magnet? No, will it pop off easy? Not necessarily, if you use it normally, you won’t have an issue, plus they provide additional magnets to place on your phone or phone case for more security. Genuinely worth the money if you want a long lasting grip.

I got this PopSocket MagSafe kick-out grip because I really wanted to be able to MagSafe charge my phone and still have a PopSocket to hold onto. I was honestly surprised by how well this works. I’ve used the O-Snap grip from another brand before and while it’s super thin and also MagSafe compatible, it’s just not as comfortable to hold. This one actually feels like a real PopSocket, way more comfortable and easier to grip. It feels really sturdy and secure, and I use it every single day. The only small downside is that when my phone is MagSafe charging and I pull my phone off, the PopSocket will sometimes stay stuck to the charger and I have to manually take it off. Not a deal breaker, just something to note. Other than that, I really like it and would definitely recommend it if you want MagSafe charging without giving up a PopSocket.

I started using PopSockets with my first MagSafe iPhone, years ago. I much prefer them to the ring-shaped phone grips, as I think they're more comfortable and more flexible in how they can be held. My old PopSocket, however, always had one glaring flaw: the kickstand functionality. Especially since phones keep getting bigger, the grip doesn't stick out far enough to act as a stand, most of the time. This PopSocket fixes that flaw. By ironically taking queues from the rest of the cheap MagSafe stand/grip sector, they added a hinge so you can flip out the entire grip to give you far more stability since you're not trying to balance everything just on the edge of the popped-out grip. Once you're done doing whatever, you can flip it closed with a satisfying *snap* and you're good to go. I've been using this thing for a few months now, and I'm not noticing any signs of the hinge loosening like others have claimed. I'd say I flip it open a few times a day, and it feels just as sturdy as the first time I opened it. This may have been a design issue that's been addressed, or maybe some of us are luckier than others. A separate design issue that I do have is with its orientation. With the older PopSocket MagSafe attachment, there was an extra bit of the base piece (which contained the MagSafe magnets) which hung down to be able to utilize the additional magnet for stabilizing an accessory's orientation. Effectively, it's so you can't attach an accessory upside-down or sideways. This lacks that extra bit, so orienting the hinge to determine which side the stand flips out on is up to you. While this is a good thing from the perspective that it can be used as both a vertical or horizontal stand, it creates the additional problem of needing to ensure the hinge isn't crooked, lest your phone fall over when you put it down. I think a detachable piece that could be snapped onto the main body on each of the three primary sides you'd want it oriented in would be very handy. Otherwise, attaching it or detaching it from an iPhone is extremely easy, while also feeling extremely secure. I do wish it was a bit easier to actually pull the flip-out part away from the base piece, though. I glad that in spite of the thinner design from the previous version, it is still just thick enough to protect my phone's cameras from sitting on whatever surface I put my phone down on. I know it's not likely I'll be able to scratch the lenses, but I'd still rather be using my relatively cheap stand as a cushion than the camera bump of my $1000+ device. All in all, it's a fantastic upgrade, and if it lasts even half as long as my old PopSocket, it'll be more than worth it.

Love this thing. Popsocket with an upgrade. Great as a stand. Even though I don't do it, you can actually charge it wireless too.

I love this popsocket! It is slim, great magnetic grip and the kick out feature is is handy when I need to prop my phone up (no hands phone use).

I’ve been a big pop socket guy. My other one finally broke and purchased this model. It broke within 5 minutes and now they’re making me drive to the store to ship back a broken product. Extremely frustrating. Will go a different direction now.

Been using it forever now, the hinge may have loosened up a bit but the magnets are stong enough to hold the hingle locked in place. Very versatile. Protrait stand is essentially for video calls. Also usefull for having a more steady angle for landscape orientation on softer surfaces like bed. Cant go back to a regular popsoclet amymore.

Brilliant accessory. I’ve had it for a week and it’s been in use umpteen times a day everyday. REALLY VERSATILE. VERY USEFUL. FINELY ENGINEERED. I love it! I’ve never had any such thing before and now I wouldn’t be without it. I’ve got the ‘Kick-Out’ version and IMHO it’s DEFINITELY WORTH THE EXTRA COST. I had some doubts when I ordered it as I wasn’t sure the additional functionality of the Kick-Out version would prove worthwhile. IT ABSOLUTELY IS. I initially had in mind using the Popsockets grip as a stand on coach journeys with the choir. I was ever so pleased to find that I could use it when video recording the performance. I got some great footage (steady and stable with no discomfort in prolonged shots). Honestly there’s been loads of times when it’s been invaluable. Today in a waiting room myself and my son were watching telly (subtitled). No wrist or hand ache whilst the hand was unobtrusive. I am very impressed with how well thought out and well made this gadget is. It’s small but it packs a lot in! I’ve no idea how they get the hinge to have JUST THE RIGHT RESISTANCE in different positions. So far it’s showing NO SIGN OF GOING SLOPPY. OK, I’ve been using this gadget for about eight months now and I ABSOLUTELY STAND BY WHAT I SAID BEFORE. I use a MagSafe charger and swapping with the Popsockets is NO PROBLEM. Super convenient. Eight months in and and I really do like this thing. Oh, and still no sign of going sloppy. It’s like new!
