Hydrofarm PSPH20 Physan 20 Broad Range Disinfectant, 128-Ounce

Been using this in my foruntain for years. Stops fungus and doesn't hurt plants.

Use this product in your fountains or water features and the water will be crystal clear. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was introduced to this by the nice lafy who sold us our water features.

I used to buy a bunch of those 8 oz bottles of Physan 20 and just run through them. They can be used as a general purpose disinfectant and fungicide without harming plants, a staple for any plant grower. Buying the 128 oz version saves you tons of money. It's a staple for anyone who grows potted plants or use hydroponics. And while you'd want to avoid skin contact, it isn't super toxic like some fungicides that shouldn't be flushed down the drain, making this great to use as a preventative in part of a regular schedule. Put a few teaspoons in a gallon sprayer every couple weeks and kill pathogens as they arise.

When you have Orchids (and I have a lot) you need it. Great product.

In a fountain - you can not use Chlorine. It destroys the concrete. Using Physan 20 for years to control algae and mold. It works very well. I recommend this product. A couple of cap fulls of the product keeps the fountain water looking good. Once a quarter or so - I empty and pressure wash the entire fountain because you are ALWAYS going to get mold buildup.

this the only additive to my fountain that actually works. It keeps the fountain clean for at least 3-6 months if added every week. Now you will still need to clean the fountain at least twice per year due to all the debris from the trees and birds. Other attempts at adding chlorine tabs, bromine tabs or copper compounds simply degraded the inline pump which then had to be replaced once a year for $250. I have the current pump for over 5 years with this Physan 20.

Physan20 is easy to use for a variety of horticultural disinfectant needs.

I have tried many brands of disinfectants in my four large fountains and this is the only that maintains Clearwater and no growth in the Hart, Phoenix Summers. Anything will work in cold weather, but this works year-round. It is a perfect product. I might add that birds do not like the scent of this and stay away from my fountains which is a plus.
