Orbit Garden Hose Quick Connect Male Threads - Quick Release Garden Hose Connector (¾-Inch, 2- Pack)

Decided to try this with Melnor adapter since Melnor was out of stock or over-priced everywhere. It is a tight fit, so I used Vaseline to make it a little smoother. That may have been a bad idea (or not), since there was still some leaking at the connection. But it was worth it to cover my yard and to easily switch from rotary to trigger to sweeping tools to keep my yard and garden alive during a drought with my broken irrigation system.Within about a week I finally found someone who was able to restore most of my zones in my yard and garden, so decided to return these. However, when I did, they did not require me to return them, but gave me a refund anyway. Great company!! I think I will purchase the other end now from Orbit, since they let me keep these and I may be able to use for the other hose!

Kudos to the seller for making the "male" connector available in a bulk pack of 10 at a feasible price. While the plastic is relatively lightweight, the part works fine snapping into the female plastic quick connects. The male part screwed into "metal" hose connectors . I have had a bit of trouble using this plastic male with "PVC" pipe threads. Seems to cross-thread? Not sure if that is a problem with my PVC or the lightweight of the threads in this part? Anyway, delighted with the purchase.

I have used the quick connect system for a few years now and have really appreciated how easy it is to change sprinklers, especially the heavier ones that can be a pain to switch out. You just leave an adapter in each sprinkler and swap sprinklers as needed. A little tip - tighten adapters and main connector regularly, they tend to loosen with regular use.

This M-2-M is the most likely to break in the Melnor quick connect/disconnect system. It's the adapter that attaches to nozzle or sprinkler. The only negative is they are a bit more difficult to seat than the Melnor original part. Once properly seated, they will not leak.

I like the plastic quick connects and I have better luck with leakage than with brass couplings. However, they have been hard to find here in the Dallas area so I ordered these online and they are great.
