How difficult is the arm to take on and off? Do you need specific tools?

Hi there, it's very easy, and you don't need any tools to attach it to a boat. If you have a kayak with rail mount, you can use special washers that also come in the package. You can find more information here: https://deepersonar.com/en/flexible-arm/

What’s the Warranty

Hi there. Warranty period is 1 year

What is the bolt hole for, on the bottom of the wave rider arm opposite of where it connects to the flex arm. not asking about wh sonar ball connects.

It's not used for anything specific, but it's there for versatility. The screw of the flexible arm that goes into the G-clamp can be screwed into the hole you are referring to. And you can use the other end of the flexible arm to attach to a rail mount that fits M5 sized screws. This is just an example of how it could be used.
