A failing ignition coil can cause several symptoms, including the “Check Engine Light” appears, engine misfires, difficulty starting the vehicle, reduced fuel economy and loss of power during acceleration.

How often should spark plugs be replaced?

Spark plug replacement intervals depend on the type of spark plug and the vehicle’s engine. Refer to your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual for more information.

How can I tell if my distributor cap and rotor need replacing?

Distributor caps and rotors typically need replacement when you notice engine misfires, difficult vehicle startup, reduced engine performance, corrosion or carbon tracking on the cap, or cracks or wear on the rotor.

What is the difference between glow plugs and spark plugs?

Glow plugs are used in diesel engines to preheat the combustion chamber for a cold start. Spark plugs are used in gasoline engines to ignite the air and fuel mixture.
