I've had these for over two years, and always rinsed them off and dried them They are forged steel, I take care of them. But I suppose if you throw them in a dishwasher with hot caustic wash water they will fail. The nickel in the steel will avoid rust, but treat them like daily utensils and there you go. "Hand wash Only". Seems pretty straightforward.

Q: Are these forged or stamped?

They are stamped... I have a set for forged and the stamped are my new favorite.
