I’ll admit it—I bought this because of the chatter. I kept seeing the hype online about how Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition smells incredible, pulls in compliments by the boatload, and projects like a monster. After finally pulling the trigger, I received this bottle yesterday and wore it for the first time today. The verdict? I absolutely love it. The Scent Profile & Gender Versatility First off, the smell is intoxicating. It is incredibly fresh, sweet, and luxurious. There is a lot of talk about whether this leans too feminine, and I want to clear that up. Yes, it has that sweet, "feminine" DNA (likely the melon and fruity notes), but it is not one of those scents where a man wears it and people think, "that’s totally a female fragrance." It sits perfectly in the middle as a true unisex fragrance. A woman can wear this beautifully, but on a man, it comes across as clean, sophisticated, and confident. Performance: Longevity & Projection The rumors about the performance are true. The projection is wonderful; it pushes out and creates a nice scent bubble around you without being suffocating. As for longevity, I put this on earlier today and it is still going strong. It definitely has the power to last a full workday and then some. Quality & Authenticity I was a little worried because I’ve read horror stories in other reviews about people receiving bottles that leaked during shipping. I want to confirm that I didn’t get that. My bottle arrived in pristine condition—no leaks, completely authentic, and the presentation is heavy and premium. Maceration If you are into fragrances, you know about "maceration"—letting the bottle sit for a few weeks to let the scent deepen, smooth out harsh edges, and blend the notes for improved longevity. While maceration can definitely help some perfumes, I honestly don’t think you need it with this one. Right out of the box, it performed amazing for me. It didn’t smell harsh or "messy" at all. However, I’m sure if I let it sit, it might get even better, but it is ready to wear immediately. The Compliment Factor Since I only just got this yesterday and wore it today (Day 1), I haven’t received a compliment yet. But frankly, I am not worried. I know they will come soon. When you smell this good and the scent projects this well, it’s only a matter of time before someone asks, "What are you wearing?" Conclusion If you are on the fence about getting Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition, just get it. It lives up to the hype, the bottle quality is great (mine didn't leak!), and it smells fantastic on both men and women. I’m definitely going to wear this again tomorrow to see if I can snag those compliments!

It lasts a very long time on the skin, usually around 8–12 hours, and even longer on clothing. The projection is also excellent during the first few hours, so people around you will definitely notice it without it being too overwhelming.

my bf wore this cologne when we started dating 1 year ago and has since tried out different ones too. our 1 year anniversary is coming up and out of everything he has worn this is by FAR my favorite scent on him. buying one for his anniversary gift so he knows how much I like it. I totally recommend this perfume it does not disappoint!

This is definitely one of my absolute favorite. For the scent which is just gorgeous. The compliments behind my trail. The longevity is good, but I did a little refresher spray. This makes me feel like a Classy Lady, well put together. I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE!
