50 2nd year Asparagus Plants/roots

We planted these a week ago and so far 80% of them have come up. Some of the stalks are much larger than anticipated for the first growth. These are doing much better than anything we have gotten from a box store.

First try at growing asparagus. Did my research and thankfully selected JW Farms. I bought 100 plants that were exceptionally healthy. Many plants were budding. Had no ideas how like rope the roots are and mistook the roots for cardboard packaging. LOL. Delivery was fast and packaging was just fine.

Of the 50 roots, 18 actually grew. Of those, only a third look healthy enough to survive the winter. Waste of time and effort. One year update: would se than I though. Only 10 roots are growing this spring.

Followed directions. About 15 of them lived. Would not buy again.

We are very pleased with this asparagus. I will be buying this product again next year for sure!

I have to wait until next year at least.
