Posibly the best Sub $250 10G SFP+ switch out there.
Been looking at SFP+/SFP28 switching and came across this. Since I have used other off brands like Mokerlink decided to give this Sodola SL-SWTG3C12F a chance. As a Cisco/Juniper network engineer I am impressed! Findings about this switch: -It is powered by the RTL9313 SOC. -Latest firmware 1.1.1.25 -The CLI is Cisco-lite with limited routing options (no BGP for example). Power usage(Kill-a-watt): Base unit, no Modules - ~4w Single - RJ45 10G-BaseT SFP = ~3w Single - SMF 10G SFP = ~1w Single - DAC SFP(passive) = ~0.15w total power with 11 SFPs (two SMF, two RJ45, 7 DACs) - ~13w The main cons about this switch(I will not remove stars for these due to the price): - the 40mm 2pin fan([email protected]). It is loud and always runs at max RPM. I pulled that fan out for a Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX and used the FL10 resistor inline cable that comes with that kit. The CFM is about the same as the stock Sodola fan and makes almost no noise. I cannot hear it in my wood lab rack at the very least. Running this switch on that fan with 2 RJ45 10G-BaseT SFPs, two SMF 10G SFPs, 6 DACs and the switch gets a bit warm, but its not any warmer then the PA220 or the Mokerlink G24410GSM above it. - SFP+ to SFP+ same metric on this switch caps at about 8.3Gb/s. Not a huge issue when you are not expecting to push max bandwidth per port, but this appears to be a limitation on the RT9313 SOC. - Routing on this switch caps at 6.8Gb/s, which is fine for most use cases but my Mokerlink G24410GSM (RTL9301 SOC) routes at 9.3Gb/s which is why this Sodola switch is uplinked to the Mokerlink for L3 routing. But considering this switch is about $240, can be bought for 160-180 with amazon discount codes (I got mine for 180 shipped), is fully featured except for BGP, runs near line rate port to port, has a decent WebGUI and fully featured CLI, I have to recommend this to anyone looking for a decent 10G SFP+ switch.

Good value and they honor their warranty
I purchased a Model SL-SG0024W switch (4 2.5G/ 2 10G ports) back in December 2024 and it worked well (in "Dumb" mode) until the end of August 2025. Both 10G ports stopped working and internal web server no longer functioned. The unit was still being covered by Sodola's one year warranty, so I reached out to them. After sending them a video of the front panel's behavior when powering on and answering a few reasonable questions, they send me a replacement unit via "Amazon Logistics". I had the replacement (a new unit) in my hands a few days later and it's back to work. The small size and general reliability of the unit combined with its price makes this a great value for me.

Decent switch, runs hot.
Decent basic switch, but can be great with better firmware. In my case, the requirements were straightforward, needed simple web management with the ability to run VLAN, spanning tree, and SNMP for monitoring, with good throughput. And, it needed to be affordable. This switch mostly fits the bill. Here are the pros and cons. Pro: Easy to configure, can be up in minutes. Affordable. Ready to configure out of the box without console access. Had no trouble with link speed negotiation with any of my other switches or desktops. Came up as 10g with cat5e cabling (surprised the heck out of me). Good throughput, saturates the 1G switch connected downstream. No packet loss either. No issues with spanning tree. Hasn't crashed on me yet after a week of use. Cons: Runs hot. Bottom of the switch is almost too hot to touch when operational. The copper SFP+ from the vendor negotiates with uplink at 10G without issues but its very hot to touch. The firmware is just goofy. No graphs to indicate link utilization, which my zylex from 5 years ago has. Durability and reliability are yet to be determined. Needs to come with "feet" to raise it off the surface since the bottom gets so hot. I hope the switch lasts, cause warranty claims may be a mystery, so I am on the fence if I want to keep it or put more money and get one from a reputable vendor who stands behind their product. Edit: 9/21/25 Had issues with one of the 10G ports on one of the two switches I had purchased, so swapped it out for a new one. For some reason, the bad packet counters showed symmetric increments for both TX and RX. Weird, the replacement had no such issues with an identical configuration. Ths switch gets very hot when 3 or more ports are used.

Does the job to boost ethernet speed to 2.5gbps
I was very happy to upgrade my network to 2.5gbps without replacing my router, which only handles 1gbps. I simply attach this switch to the router and attach everything that I want to run at 2.5gbps to the switch. It works great. The router takes care of assigning IP addresses and internet, while all the internal traffic on the network flows only through the switch. Configuration was straightforward, although I found the terminology in the interface unfamiliar at first. Once I figured out the terms the switch interface was using, I was easily able to set up port aggregation to an NAS that has two ethernet ports. I haven't used the other special functions of the switch, but for what I'm using it for, it works great. I really enjoy having 2.5gbps ethernet.

Works well
I modified the power supply to work off of 12VDC and installed it on a boat which it’s not meant to do. With that said, it’s been perfectly fine the entire summer on the water. Great price as well for the quality you get.

SODOLA to the rescue (again)
This is the third Sodola switch I've purchased. I could not be happier. It works as expected. Full speed, silent, mounts well, 4 VLANs.

Totally surprised me, this little switch works fantastically!
I ordered this switch fully expecting it to be junk, I mean, $9.99 for a 5 port gigabyte switch, pfffff! To my absolute shock, it works BEAUTIFULLY! I'm sharing 3 devices on it, speed and pings are off the wall compared to WiFi, it's well built, the metal housing is nice, the connectors are quality, 10/10. No configs, no apps to run, just plug a cable into your modem modem and you're good to go! If I could recommend one thing - get little rubber feet for the base, keeps it in place. Buy it!
