Review: Silica -- more important than Calcium for your bone health - Silica has a lot of uses; I am using it to rebuild my bones and protect my teeth. (see "Strong Bones Need Silica"). People think bones are all about calcium, but this isn't true. I like the smaller size because it's more portable, and I can keep it with me. This is what one person had to say about this important mineral: " Silica is more prevalent than calcium in bone. This is because it also makes up the collagen matrix of bone which is actually 80% of total bone mass. A recent study of the effectiveness of calcium supplementation in preventing bone fracture revealed that **calcium alone was not effective**. The study involved 35,000 middle aged and older women and is the largest study to date examining the effects of calcium and vitamin D on bone health. (for a complete discussion on the details of why calcium is not the answer, please read "The Calcium Lie 2" by Robert Thompson. It's an eye opener). While previous studies investigating calcium supplementation have produced mixed results, this study quite convincingly concluded that calcium did not produce the expected results. **Q: How does this taste? Can you taste it in water? I have a picky child who needs to take this supplement.**
A: My sons been taking it for the past year in his water and he doesn’t even taste it. It’s the best & he never gets sick. The only time he gets sick is when I run out and coincidentally it’s also the change of season. Other than that, it works 1000%

**Q: Both the 18 oz. and the 2 oz. bottles are listed as 36 servings?  How can that be?  Is the 18 oz. version really low concentration?**
A: Hi there!Both option sizes (18 oz. & 2 oz.) have 375 mg of Silica as Silicon Dioxide. The only difference is the amount of water and serving size. The 18 oz. bottles are 1 tbsp per day with water for 36 servings, while our 2 oz. mineral concentrates are 30 drops per day in water for 30 servings (60 ml/2oz = 30)

**Q: Does this have to be refrigerated once open?**
A: No refrigeration required! Simply store at room temperature once opened.

**Q: How many mg of magnesium per serving? "30 Servings" doesn't mean a lot unless the number of mg is indicated.**
