This brush has a very wide spray if you have a heavy finger you can get a nice spray from it if your good with a air brush. It should do fine for what you want this brush for the price is amazing. I am using it for 1.35 scale modeling and its great

Q: Does it have an adjustable needle to control paint flow

This airbrush being a double action design does have some controllability with paint flow with the trigger. However for more precise levels of paint flow you might be better looking into Badger's Renegade Krome or Sotar 20/20 models that come with paint flow adjuster built into the handle that can lock in incremental settings for the amount of paint flow you desire.
