2019 Standard Catalog of World Coins, 1901-2000

My main hobby is metal detecting. I got this book to all me to look up unusual coins I found with my detector. it turned out that the reference material was only for coins from 2001 to date. Many of my coins that I needed help with ere older. I placed another order for the World Coins, 46th Edition,for the period 1901 to 2000. Now I'm really happy. the 2001 to date, is very informative, so I kept it. the 46th Edition 1901 to 2000 is what I really wanted, all alone. It has helped me identify numerous foreign coins I've found in the water, pre-2000. Super reference. Best buy I've made in some time.

The book has great detailed reviews of majority coins around the world. I have a lot of friends from different countries and talked to them about the coins of their countries, after going through the book. They all were surprised about my knowledge of their country of origin coins.As for cons. there are some of the coins pictures either not present in that book or very poor quality. Black and white picture are good but sometimes is not good enough. I wish that this book would have better, color and more pictures.Never the less, I decided to get 1801-1900 World Coins book as well. This book is very helpful.To the editors of this book, hey guys, if you'd like, I am willing to help you to make a nice digital color picture of the coins, as long as you are willing to put them in the book. I have very good macro lens and fairly nice pro photo camera...=D

With all my respect to KP, I have to warn other customers ! It'll be better before purchase, to check this catalog in a bookstore or with a coin dealer. Make you decision to buy, just if you are OK with a poor quality of coin's images printing. In my case, things are more complicated, cause there is no nearby coin dealers and solid bookstores, where I can check this catalog. I'm happy, that I have electronic version of it, outdated, of course, but with nice pictures of coins. Everything above is just my personal opinion. Anyway, this catalog still be informative and helpful. Thank you for your time.
