It works kinda, but only comes in at 10fps so its not really good at its job

I highly recommend this for 1080 capture. I use it for resolume Arena and prefer it over my 4k unit that I paid twice as much for. If you need 4k, this isn't the unit for you, but if all you really need is HD, this is the best option.

I have a bunch of different video capture devices - some AJA 4k/12G-SDI thunderbolt stuff that is very good, some no-name other stuff that crappy. Sometimes you just want a little box. BMD Thunderbolt 3 Recorder does a lot of stuff very well, but this card can do other stuff the BMD recorder can't and doesn't need stupid Blackmagic software so that is cool. Also works on any USB 3.0+ PC or Mac. Downside is that this needs power cycling if you're doing longer recordings. Cheaper than the Magewell and AJA USB 3.0 cards. Works immediately and shows up on MS Teams unlike BMD box
