Woodcraft Maple Bird's-Eye 1/8" x 5" x 24"

Good clean cut piece. Grain figure was about par for what I would expect for a piece like this. Only reason for not giving five stars is with shipping and tax all taken into account, price seems a bit high for a test strip of finishes, which is what I bought it for.

Bird's eye throughout woodgrain. Very happy about that. Some rip in the surface but very easy to work around. If I were them I'd send it through with this defect so it's quite alright. I trust Wood Crafter. Will do business again.

Disappointed again. This is the second time I've ordered online through woodcraft. The first time the piece of lumber was so warped I just threw it in the garbage. I figured that wouldn't happen a second time but I was mistaken. One of the two pieces was so cupped it has no functional use. It amazes me that somebody could package something so obviously deformed and send it out. This is the last time I will order wood from woodcraft online.

Very little birds eye. Not a pretty piece of wood.

While technically it was a birds eye maple It only had 5 total eyes which was nothing like the picture.
