I bought this product because it was advertised to be safe for people with Interstitial cystitis. Well I made spaghetti last night and I used it, the taste is very good but the end result is I have a raging bladder infection. And that was the only product that I used that could have been problematic.

4 stars because of the price and the liquid separating makes me wonder if it would actually stick to noodles. However, it actually tastes good! I food prepped with it so I'll have to try to update how it does when you freeze it and thaw it. Taste: Even without adding any spice to it, it tasted pretty good. I tasted it straight from the jar and it was surprisingly good since I didn't expect this to have any flavor. I did add more Italian seasoning because I wanted to. It's tasters choice on whether to add seasoning or not just like some people like extra pepper or salt and some people don't like a lot of salt or pepper. Texture: Right of the jar and from what I remember real tomato sauce looked like before developing an allergy to tomatoes, the texture looks like any jar tomato sauce. Color: It's orange, but it's more like the color orange that stains your plastic containers. It's not so orange that it's unappealing. The reason I give it 4 stars is because liquid seems to separate from the vegetables that make the sauce. However, that could be from me using a little water in the jar to make sure I got every bit of sauce like we did back in the day when I wasn't allergic to tomatoes. However, that brings up an issue if you're making something that requires another ingredient that has liquid in it. For example, I'm not 100% sure I would make lasagna since the ricotta mixture isn't dry so the sauce may not blend well with it. It also makes me wonder how well it sticks to noodles if they're still a bit wet versus dried out and stuck together so they look like a blob of Raman noodles. Again, the price is extremely high. I tried making my own and the same ingredients used in the sauce was maybe $10-$15 and made a lot more than two jars that aren't even 32 oz (which is the amount most recipes call for), but my homemade attempts turned out to be a science experiments and it was easier just to buy it. I realize a business needs to make a profit, but the price is way too high.

Super expensive. With that said, it filled a sauce void during a challenging AIP diet phase without having to spend MORE time cooking than I already was. It gave me something to make into "french" salad dressing and, of course, pasta sauce for veggie noodle dishes. Not my favorite non-tomato sauce, but it smells and tastes good and has a smooth texture.

I have MCAS with reflux and cannot have tomatoes, this sauce is really good but PLEASE stop raising the price. Those of us with histamine issues already pay so much for meds and supplements to keep us well.

Looks good in the jar. Comes out of the jar fairly completely. Has no flow or runny consistency like resl spaghetti sauce. Does not really stick to spaghetti (of course I will note that I was using gluten-free spaghetti noodles, which came in normal size, not the thin that I prefer and didn't look like much of anything would stick to it). I would not recommend adding water or oil to enhance its flow and stuckiness (unless possibly blending further but why then buy this premade?) Taste was reasonable coming somewhat close to a thick spaghetti sauce but is not a tomato-based flavor. Worth considering for lasagna not for necessarily for spaghetti where you are trying to merge sauce and spaghetti as one. Worth a try if you're not too picky.
