KiWAVKiWAV Oil Filter Cap Wrench for DUCATI oil filters with 76mm x 8 flutes

I have a 2007 Ducati Monster 695 and the oil filter cap wrench fit the stock OEM filter perfectly and worked exactly as expected. I always use stock parts so this worked great for me. I would absolutely recommend getting this tool if you use the Ducati OEM oil filter or use a K&N oil filter instead of OEM filter as they have a 17mm hex head on the bottom of the filter to alleviate the need for this tool.

I bought this to change the oil filter for my 2022 Ducati Monster. Worked great. It fits the oil filter perfectly.

I have used this once. It worked as it should. I thought I had a leak as I was generous with lubing the gasket and dribbled a little when pre-filling the filter--upon warm up, the excess oil dripped down the filter. Concerned, I tightened the filter just a /little/ more and the wrench slipped on the filter. Past experience with ill fitting wrenches tells me this had deformed the filter slightly and I will not be able to use it when I change the oil next time. I may have been unfair docking the review one star as this may be totally my fault. It does fit the filter reasonably snug. I would still say to go for it on this one. Keep in mind, I have used (and possibly misused) this once.

this thing is great if you've got the dreaded leaky ducati filter- and they of course charge an armand a leg for their filter wrench. works great, affordable, only thing is you really only need it once as you're way better off installing k&n filter after you get the stock filter off. something to think about. have a 2016 ducati scrambler for reference.

This looks like a pretty good quality tool that fits the OEM Ducati oil filters tightly like it should. It looks like two washers welded together to create the square 3/8" drive. I hope they hold up over the years. Minus one star for not being bullet proof built quality, but it looks fine.For anyone that has problems removing a too-tight oil filter: Drill three holes in the bottom of this wrench in a perfect triangle. Then you can screw three self tapping sheet metal screws into the oil filter from the bottom to give it some extra hold while you remove it. If that doesn't work, whoever put the oil filter on last was a hamfisted gorilla.

Unfortunately, most high priced collections of filter removal tools do not include this size that Ducati uses. I have used mine and it works well. It won't work on a K&N 153 because of the nut on the bottom that negates the need for this tool.
