40" 2 Strap Long Resistance Band Bar (for use with Resistance Bands)

This bar is sturdy with just enough heft to know that it will last a long time. I just got back into working out, but I wanted to use resistance bands (Bodylastics) for strength training. Using the bands with this bar ensures that the weight is distributed evenly on both sides of the body. It has also made working out more intense and enjoyable (my body is still a bit sore from my last workout, but I'm truly looking forward to my next one)! The only exercise I haven't been able to use the bar for is hammer curls. This bar has been a great investment for me, and I can't imagine performing my compound resistance exercises without it.

Finally I m able to use this bar with my resistant bands to do my biceps, back, triceps and shoulders with ease. With me not being comfortable going back to the gym, this bar has given me multiple options to use the resistance bands. I had it for more than a month so far. It seems to be of a good quality. Time will tell how long it ll last. But I m please so far!

Initially, I bought this bar to be used with my workout using Bodylastics resistance bands. The bar itself is well made with plenting of padding. It's great for bench press, military, rows, overhead and lat workouts. The only problems I have with it is the maximum resistance of 150lbs. I'm 6'4 and due to that, it's a bit difficult to do squats with bodylastics bands usings bars due to band length. I purchased this bar because it has built in straps to add additional length. While this does work (you can always add additional length with 6" motorcycle tie down straps and caribeeners), squats and deadlifts max out at 150lb, which is of little use to me. I squatted at 165lb resistance to where I could feel the bar begin to flex and strain and i did not feel safe going further. In summary, its a good bar for lightweight resistance band use but for heavy squats and deadlifts, or any lifting over 150lbs, you would have to use a more durable bar.

Love this bar. If you work out with bands like I do, this bar is great! I have BODYLASTICS 31 PCS PREMIUM Resistance Bands Set. Includes 14 Best Quality ANTI-SNAP bands, heavy Duty Components: Anchors/Handles/Ankle Straps, and exercise training resources which work out great with the handles for most exercises. But, this bar allows for even more. I set up some anchors in my basement and I can utilize this for curls, lat pull down and overhead press. This bar with bands creates endless exercises.

Construction is excellent and it would be good for what it is made for, but I picked it up to use with my cable machine and that wasn't the best use for it.

I ordered this bar 11 days ago. I've used it twice. The nylon strap on one side came apart at the seam. Terrible waste if money.

Let me start by saying that I *really* wanted to like this bar. The pictures make it look like the perfect bench press substitue for cables. It's about eighty bucks cheaper than the XBAR, and hell, it's even made in the USA. That said, for forty five dollars, this product could have been much better. The pictures on here, are a bit deceptive. It's not two vinyl straps tightly attached to a steel bar, but rather to loops of vinyl wrapped around a flimsy plastic ring. The loops are loose and shift along the bar during heavy/difficult exercises (as they did during my first bench set.) This rickety setup, and the fact that the bar is covered in fragile black cushion, make maintaining a solid form difficult--especially if you're used to a traditional bench/free weight setup. Others may have had different experiences, but mine was very poor quality and I ultimately had to return it. I'm going to go with the "SPRI Xercise Bar Kit" instead.

Really nice addition if you use bodylastics resistance bands. Bicep curls and upright rows are just 2 of the exercises that are more effective with this bar, The problem with the standard bodylastics handles is that at certain angles the straps run into your forearms and limit your range of motion. This product solves that problem. Seems to be well made and has very comfortable padding. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommended.
