This was the replacement for my zwilling J.A. Henckels Bob Kramer Bamboo Sink Bridge.I loved the sink bridge because it was large enough to fit my kitchen sink. The sink bridge only lasted 2 years before breaking and I used it only once every 3-4 months.This stone holder is too small to bridge my sink but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality and durability. It is easier to adjust as the rubber supports slide smoothly over the chrome plated arms. The stability of this holder allowed me to get a more precise edge quicker on my handmade Japanese kitchen knives.I recommend this product for the home chef who wants to keep their knives in tip top shape, the professional chef who needs to be able to sharpen and hone their tools of the trade efficiently and properly, and anyone else who has a keen interest in sharpening knives and tools to a superior level.The low cost and high quality of this product make it a winner no matter what your use may be.

I give this product 5 stars because so far it has worked great. The tightening knobs have deep knurls that allows for a solid grip even with wet hands. The steel is plated, so it won't rust immediately, although you should still dry it after use. The rubber bottom doesn't provide much grip, but it works good enough for some light sharpening and polishing, always use a anti-skid mat. Overall, great product for the price.

It does the job. Super easy to use. So easy that it doesn't come with instructions. Only thing that could be better is the grip strength on the bottom.

I bought this along side a diamond sharpening plate and strop. It holds them well. The strop and diamond plate are slightly different sizes and the nuts spin very smoothly and it is easy to adjust sizes quickly. I really like this over the rubber holder that came with my sharpening stone and it is far superior to a towel. I am pretty happy with this purchase. One thing I have noticed is that it is not completely stainless. If I don't dry this after using I have gotten a little bit of rust under the adjustment nuts. It isn't significant any everything still looks shiny when I wipe off the rust, but it is something to keep in mind. I would definitely buy this again. Also for the record I don't give out 5 stars very often, but this is a simple item and it does what it is supposed to do very well.

It's sturdy, fits my westones and diamond stone well, and has good grip. Before the stones would slip on my kitchen counter and leave a puddle of water as I used them. But the raised base keeps the counter mostly dry and it no longer moves as I'm sharpening tools which makes the whole process more efficient. I've sharpened my kitchen knives and chisel successfully. The screws are also a good amount of tight when locked and spin freely when loose.

I use this to hold an 8"x3" diamond sharpening plate while sharpening hand plane blades and chisels. It is easy to place and remove the sharpening plate and I do this frequently because I also use the plate to lap other stones. The sharpening plate is 5/16" thick and rests a hair below the tops of the rubber ends. If that ever becomes an issue, it looks easy to shave just a bit off the tops of the rubber ends. The surface of anything thicker than 3/8" will be held proud.

I was considering getting a sink bridge, but decided to get this because I use mostly splash n go stones. It's adjustable and will fit most stones. It is sturdy and I don't feel any laxity or wobble anywhere. The screw down mechanism feels solid and precise. It is also non-skid and stays put which is important.I paid $15 dollars for this, but I've seen these go for $40 or more. Why pay more??

Haven't used it yet but out of the box it appears well made using good quality material.

Quality product. In fact, I'm thinking of buying the second one.

The only thing I would change is for it to be stainless steel to avoid rust. Make sure you dry it well after every use
