Excellent budget smart phone
This phone has consistently impressed me at every turn. Coming from a Samsung Galaxy budget series that was quite long in the tooth, this runs much faster and has a surprisingly premium quality feel. The screen has this unique matte finish that I've never seen on a phone and is more like an old school tablet or e-reader. I set the slider to default to Max Ink mode, and I engage it while I'm at work. Watching YouTube videos on my break in battery-squeezing black and white is a cozy nostalgic experience! Switching between standard and Max Ink mode, I can easily get two days of battery life out of this phone without any charging anxiety. Apps have no compatibility issues. The Nxtpaper functions are fairly easy to adjust. Screen brightness is highly adaptive and works well in all light conditions. Camera is very good, probably the best in the price range. Excellent value at under $200 on sale. Only downsides are no wireless charging, somewhat limited charging speed and lack of available third party accessories compared to Apple and Samsung devices. Still a phenomenal bargain.

Great phone one thing to look out for
great phone. One caveat, im currently a verizon customer but im also an xfinity at home customer. Xfinity is now offering some incentives. This phone (as it says in the details) is 5G Power with Broad Carrier Compatibility and later Unlocked, compatible only with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon for reliable 5G connectivity. Not compatible with other carriers. Checking xfinity web site confirms that. So if your ever going to be thinking about switching something to consider. Now for the good news, I love this phone. Display is great, usability is great. I added a 512 san card (nice to have a phone you can still do that with) and it helps with space for some of the apps i use. I can't comment on battery life since it seems like i never get particularly low (a pleasant change from some of my past phones)

Amazing TCL phone, works like it was a $1000 follars
This phone is absolutely worth it!! I have visible wireless and literally just plugged my sim card from my old phone in and transferred my data with a cable and I was fully using it in an hour with all my settings. Beautiful display and super fast. Many different screen settings and a very long battery life. TCL is a great product and you can trust it. Also looking at the tablet and TV as well. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great phone at an amazing price. Super fast shipping as well!! Works like a dream and was spot in n compatible with my old android. Setup was a breeze using a cable between the old and new phone. Absolutely recommend!!

Great all around phone and value.
Great value and I love the matte screen. Good battery life. At first I was disappointed withe the charging speed, but that was easily fixed with a USB-C to USB-C cable and 30 watt charging block. Everything is easy to use and the screen wasn't bad in sunlight when I increased the brightness of the screen. I find it to perform better than similarly priced Motorollas or Samsung. If you want a matte screen or read a lot on your phone, this is the phone for you. I only play chess and the occasional casual game. It works great for that. Definitely the best bang for your buck out of the mid tier phones out there today.

Scratching like it's a 90's mixtape. No match for a fob.
The phone seemed fine for the price. A month later, and I am not as impressed. The novelty has worn off- along with the screen surface. See below. DAILY ISSUES: I notice some speed or lag issues occasionally. Screen brightness is a constant battle. It changes all the time. I have to readjust it constantly. I have changed settings numerous times. The Haptic/Static feature is kind of annoying. When the phone is on a flat surface, the response is off. I sometimes have to pick up the phone to get screen responses, such as opening an app or typing. GOOD FEATURES: Options to change screens and power saving are nice. The battery life in the "ink" setting is really good. THE MAIN ISSUE: Matte screen finish will scratch very easily. My screen protector broke, so I peeled it off. I have new ones on the way. I kept my phone in a pocket for about ten minutes. When I pulled it out, I saw several scratches covering about an inch of the screen. (Pictures attached) NOTE: A piece of hard plastic left scratches in the surface. I did not have a diamond-tip drill bit in my pocket, guys. I had a key fob in my pocket. It's plastic. I contacted Amazon, and they connected me to the TCL Customer Service department. After several days of messages, I received the following: ______________________________________________________ Thank you for waiting. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. After confirming with our technical team, please note the following: What may appear to be scratches on the screen is usually not actual damage. Our eye-protection screen uses an AG etching process. When it comes into contact with metal, tiny metallic particles may attach to the microscopic pits on the AG surface. These marks can generally be wiped away. To prevent this, we recommend avoiding keeping your phone together with metal objects. If marks appear, you can usually re move them with a glasses cloth or an er aser. For more stubborn spots, a small amount of toothpaste or mild detergent should help. Best regards, TCL Customer Service ______________________________________________________ You can't really enjoy the paper-like surface for too long, which means covering it with a screen protector. Defeats the purpose, as that was one of the main features I found interesting - albeit novel. So, keep feathers in your pocket and always carry this phone in a felt box. You'll get to enjoy it for a few more weeks than expected.
