Wasabi Power Battery for Canon LP-E6

Have given five stars even tho my camera (6D) is 'unable to communicate' with the battery, as I knew this would be the case before I purchased. When you install it, just ignore prompt that pops up and off (on?) you go. You only get the prompt when you first install the battery, not every time you power the camera on. Works a treat with my original canon battery both in a battery grip and am happy with the purchase. Note: With two batteries in the grip, the camera discharges both equally, I can check the battery levels of the original battery which will give me an indication of the remaining overall charge remaining. Obviously you can't do this if you use the battery on its own (ie not in a battery grip).Edit: One point to note is that I found the Wasabi battery wouldn't charge in the Canon-provided charger so I needed to buy a third-party charger. I presume that the Canon battery charger, like the camera itself, can't communicate with the battery so refuses to recognise it and so charge it.

I bought this battery in doubt, because I read reviews where people were complaining about that this battery won't be recognized by their cameras and/or chargers.As I`ve understood, they upgraded their battery and it is completly recognizable by my 5DIII and my original canon battery charger.I recommend this item!

These batteries are excellent but have only been used with a Wasabi charger purchased in the United States designed specifically for the Canon LP-E6 batteries. Great value and good performance--I wont be buying Canon batteries any time soon.

I was worried this would not work properly on my canon 7d, but it registerd just fine. I have charged it only once and seems to last as long as my canon battery,

Charges fine with my Canon charger and works perfectly with my 6D (unlike some other 3rd party batteries)

Having seen good reviews for Wasabi batteries on photography forums I decided to buy this one for my EOS 7D. Despite the product description stating it worked with the Canon charger, this is not the case. When I attempted to charge the battery the light on the charger immediately flashes rapidly and remains in this state. No matter how long the battery was connected, when I placed it in the camera it showed no charing had occurred.Although there are numerous positive reviews from the US Amazon site displayed for this product, the battery can also be bought there with a Wasabi charger, unfortunately this does not seem available in the UK. The battery may work with other third-party chargers, but if you only have a Canon one then do not buy this battery.

Does the job it's asked to do. Can't say fairer than that.
