Spitfire Bighead Skateboard Wheels - Set of 4

AWESOME Wheels! Got these to replace the cheap, (and now worn-out), OJ wheels that came with my Santa Cruz board. These are 53mm, just like the originals, and they are a bit harder as well than the original wheels. The hardness, however, is no problem whatsoever, and they work beautifully. In fact, I'd personally even say they're a bit smoother than the originals. The tread is perfect, and the wheels grip perfectly on smooth concrete, especially when doing walls/sideways skating. I've never used these wheels for street skating, but I do imagine they could potentially be suitable for such use. Although my skateboard is black (and originally had black wheels), the green and white color combo actually looks pretty cool. I was skeptical about putting the two together at first, but I am very pleased with the end result. Finally, I love how not only these wheels were made in the USA, so they're excellent quality, but they also came with a Spitfire sticker (red), which also looks cool on the underside of my board.

Good wheels for the skatepark but can flatspot pretty easy. Formula 4 seem to be much more resilient.

My son asked me to buy him these since he's been starting to skateboard now daily for months instead of the wheels that came with his board. I bought these good price he placed them and said mom they don't continuously spin look. I looked and he said if he loosen's the screw the whelks will fall off. I told him maybe you need to wear them in go ride your board to see if that helps. He went outside came in and said yup your right they work and spin perfect now. So don't worry if that happens try and wear them in. All in all he's had them for months now and they are very good.

I ordered the 51mm because of the price. If you can afford it, go for the larger wheels because these wear down a little to fast for my taste but every wheel wears down eventually. My mistake for ordering the 51mm's. Yet, these are still amazing wheels if you can't afford the Formula 4's or are trying to get more parts that aren't as cost efficient. If you can afford Formula 4's, I would recommend those over the bigheads. But hey! What do I matter! I'm just another skater! Shred Gnarr dudez!!!!
