Decibullz Custom Molded Percussive Filters protect users from peak sound pressure of gunshots, artillery and explosions, lower safe levels and protect users from long-term hearing impairments. Developed for shooting and military, the Decibullz percussive filter provides optimal protection from high levels of impulse and percussive sound. Filters are ANSI IPIL certified up to 166dB. If no harmful noise is present, the Decibullz filter provides reduced attenuation so you can hear voice and ambient noise. Allows you to recognize situations not offered by traditional hearing protection. The shape of the Decibullz thermo fit earpiece is simple. Just warm the ear pieces with water and mold them to your ears. If the earbud does not fit snugly for the first time, you can reheat the earbud tip to shape it. Unlike electronic hearing protection, the Decibullz percussive filter retains the direction and space of the sound. This is very important in hunting and combat situations. The filter also allows air to enter the ear, reducing ear canal inflammation. Combined with the small size and Decibullz ThermoFit molded earpieces, the filter is ideal for all day use and easily fits under communication headsets and earmuffs Directions Molding tool included Boil and shape to fit your ears. Avoid improper installation or misuse ## Features - IMPULSE PROTECTION: Decibullz excellent DIY thermo-molded earpieces feature percussive filtering technology. When there is no harmful noise, the Decibullz filter is low dampening to allow human voice and ambient noise to be heard. Consistent hearing protection unlike traditional hearing protectors - NO POWER REQUIRED: The Decibullz Percussive Filters are a physical percussion/impulse filter and are an excellent hearing protection that does not require a power source. This means that the Decibullz Impulse filter is ready to protect you whenever you need it - CUSTOM MOLDED COMFORT: Decibullz custom molded ear pieces mold easily and quickly to the shape of your ear. They functioned flawlessly every time. In between lulls toy can hear range commands clearly and can carry on regular conversations without having to shout. **Q: What is the main difference between these and the Custom Molded Earplugs?** A: Totally different. Custom molded plugs go deeper into the ear canal past the second bend. The Decibullz are only molded to the outside of the ear or bowl. The greatest protection is when it’s molded to the aperture, or opening, through the second bend. Custom molded plugs can be made with a filter which blocks noises over 85dB but allows softer sounds in, such as conversation. Cost is about the same. Trust me, get custom molded plugs. **Q: They allow me to ear voices (colleagues) and block noises in marine engine room? Not blast, is a constant noises** A: Our Percussive Filters are designed to block out sudden loud percussive noises such as an explosion or gunshot. If you are looking for consistent noise reduction I would recommend checking out our regular Custom Molded Earplugs https://www.amazon.com/Decibullz-Earplugs-Comfortable-Protection-Shooting/dp/B00WIXL6IM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494436138&sr=8-2&keywords=decibullz. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at support@decibullz.com. **Q: What is the NRR?** A: Thanks for reaching out. The new percussion filters are designed to block out loud percussive noises while still allowing ambient noise to pass through. When a loud percussive noise is not present the earplugs will have an NRR of around 10. As soon as a gun blast or any other loud percussive noise goes off, the filter will close bringing the NRR up to as high as 33. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working as advertised *by on Reviewed in Germany August 25, 2026* I am still evaluating them in the current shape of my first attempt, which doesn't feel perfect and I feel I can do it better next time. Also still testing the different foam cups to find the right size, but, despite the "less than perfect" fitting feel, so far the results are good. I am surprised how well gun shots are dampened compared to the level of audibility of general intensity ambient noise. You can have a normal conversation with the plugs in. ### ⭐⭐⭐ OK but not as good as should be *by on Reviewed in Australia September 9, 2022* Bought these so I can hear orders on the rifle range. It only works a little better than straight earplugs. ## Frequently Bought Together - Decibullz Percussive Moldable Earplugs for Hunting & Shooting, Gun Range Hearing Protection for Shooters, Reusable Ear Plugs for Shooting Range - Decibullz - Custom Earplug Lanyard --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.lk/products/736894785-decibulls-custom-molded-percussive-filters-excellent-custom-molded-hearing-protection](https://www.desertcart.lk/products/736894785-decibulls-custom-molded-percussive-filters-excellent-custom-molded-hearing-protection) --- *Product available on Desertcart Sri Lanka* *Store origin: LK* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
