Content chickens
After finding our first pullet egg on the floor of the coop we quickly installed a nesting box with this product inside. The next day we could tell the chickens had inspected their new box and rearranged the laying pad to their liking. The next day it was apparent that they had happily laid two eggs in there.

My hens love these!
This is my second time purchasing these Aspen Shaving Nesting Liners. They are perfect. They fit easily in my 16” x 16” nesting boxes. My hens love them and lay easily and regularly in these nesting pads. They last a long time before needing replaced. I will definitely purchase again.

Durable
These are great! They are soft enough, but tough enough to last a long time. If an egg is broken, half-eaten, or poop is on them, you can either take them out and shake out the "stuff" or just peel off the top as they are pretty thick. I like to fluff them up before my hens lay in them. I think they like that. ;-)

The ladies are laying on em!
The paper bottom to these is disappointing.. was correctly represented here just didn’t think about sideways rain getting in and making the bottom of these nasty (had gone back n forth between these and the rubber nesting pads)The ladies love burrowing into them and delivering butt nuggets daily!

First time purchasing....
A bit coarser than I expected. Hard for the birds to make a "nest" with, but once done, it works well.

These are absolutely fine…
I like the separate, resealable bag of herbs and flowers which comes with these, and the pads themselves are of respectable quality. The price for 10 is a little steep (considering that these nesting pads are no thicker than several less-expensive alternatives), though, and it cannot be said that the dried floral mix-ins are worth the difference. An extra 10$ here or there for the same item maybe wouldn’t matter much if only I weren’t buying these so frequently…of the 10 available nest boxes, only the top level of 5 ever gets used by this flock. Their reasons for collectively scorning that lower column of nest boxes remain inscrutable and intractable: this is year 3 and, still, nobody uses them. Of those accepted 5 boxes, only 3 are profoundly desirable, and this has led to impolite/passive aggressive behavior exhibited by the girls sitting in wait on the length of perch directly outside each tier of nest boxes. While one hen is laying, another hen is poised at the threshold, glowering, and/or pressuring the occupant, and this has lead to broken eggs inside nest boxes, with a subsequent need to swap out liners often (surely more often than is normal). I’m looking into making curtains— more as a buffer than for privacy—but, in the mean time, I’m a steady buyer of disposable nest box pads, and these (in particular) I will only buy the once.

Keeps eggs and chickens clean
I tried many different methods of bedding in nesting boxes, but this is hands down unbeatable. Any poop can just be shaken off the mat, you don’t even need to pull it off. The eggs stay so clean with these mats that I don’t need to wipe them, making them shelf stable for longer. The mats last quite a long time, I change mine every month or two. Will never go back to anything else.

Works as indicated!
I was getting frustrated using so much wood shavings that the chickens kept kicking out- these are a cost saver for sure! It arrived fast, they pop in easily and the girls shape them the way they like. These are very popular with the chickens and no cleanup or restocking of bedding daily!

Easy
Love it, so much easier than straw or hay

Better off buying a bail of hay
Paper backing falling off every sheet, one sheet was torn up. Better off buying a bail of hay for 5bucks, this very expensive for what it is
