Millrose 70660 Monster Roll PTFE Thread Seal Tape, 1/2-Inch x 260-Inch, Blue

Plumber friend says Blue Monster does the job. Having a tough time stopping a leak (pool 10-psi-pressure water) on new check valve (excellent price, but threads probably not cut rightly). Suspect threads on check valve (cpvc) are 2-inch National Pipe Straight. Trying to mate it with 2-inch NPT National Pipe Tapered male black polypropylene fittings. Bought check valve online (starts with a, ends with zon) product probably made youknowwhere-starts with c ends with hina. Good ball check, suspicious of threads. On 3rd try at assembly, used Blue Monster thread dope on male and female threads, with 5 wraps of Blue Monster tape over dope on male threads. Messy, but it works.

This tape is way better than the vanilla white thin tape. 3 wraps are good enough while the vanilla one needs at least 6 wraps and may still leak. I'll never go back again.

This product is far superior to the white, generic tape I've been using forever. Is easier to handle. Seals very well. BIG improvement.

Seal pressure washer hoses great. Thick seal tape and worth the money. Took away 1 star due to the sellers picture showing 3 rolls. You are only ordering 1 roll. But still a great product.

This product was so damn good the contractor stole it! The turd also stole my two wheel lightweight cart. Didn’t realize it until it was too late. keep your eyes on those Wiley Coyote contractors! I don’t think that they really intend to steal my stuff. It just gets included in their cleanup, when so much confusion is happening.

I bought this roll to use when replacing a well pressure tank and its components, which need secure, waterproof connections to avoid leaks developing over time. This tape was recommended by several pros I saw doing well-tank work in YT videos, and I agree with them that it's noticeably thicker than the white TFE tape from the hardware store.This roll was exactly long enought to wrap the threads of the pressure tank and the 5 or 6 components that screw into the "T" pipe.

After years of using the regular white Teflon tape in water/wastewater plants and small pipe plumbing, this tape is well above the rest. You barely need more than one pass around the threads and you are good to go. I was hesitant about the price at first but you use so little compared to white ptfe tape.
