Born to Run: NYC Subway Graffiti on the IND and BMT Lines

Bought this for my 23 year old Granddaughter and she loved it! It came packaged very well so no issues at all

The book Born To Run is a peak into the BMT & IND lines from 1972 to 1988 with pieces that have not been seen since they were running on the trains years ago. With a foreword from LEE TC5 and high quality photos its a home run. Its also a missing piece of graffiti history that nobody ever touched on that is highly recommended. Another quality graffiti book from Tod Lang well done :)

the pictures and caption were spot on I grew up riding these subways at a time that wasn't that great in the nyc subway system . It did bring back lots of memories , very good book to have if you grew up in the 70,s-80,s and loved trains

This book is an amazing insight into the evolution of graffiti on the lesser photographed NYC subway lines.It is full color photographs though out, however can get a but dull and boring, or confusing if you're not into the images. What do I mean by this? Well, some captions simply state where the train was and a date, others only call out one artist on the train. Captions are small font.If you're not into the art, or are, but don't have a basic understanding of the terms, and artists, it'll be a confusing navigation at the beginning.

A great book reflecting back on NYC subway graffiti from that era on IND and BMT lines. No IRT lines at all.

70-80年代のニューヨーク地下鉄の車両に描かれたグラフィティの写真集。車両の写真とタイトル中心で構成されており、解説等はほぼありませんが、年代別の章立てなので72年から88年までの16年間にわたるグラフィティの変遷がよくわかります。写真もきれい。
