Replaced the original 1986 starter. Leaves more room in engine compartment and spins engine faster for start up

This has staggered holders on either side of the shaft. Mercruiser has both bolts in one line.

Cranks engine over every time!
Installed about 2 months ago, and it's working great so far! (about 30+ starts)

Works but with modifications for mounting. Used 3\8 washers to get a snug fit on old bolts
Well for the price it works on my mercruiser 3.0. One thing is that it did not come with new bolts. I had also had to use 5 or so 3\8 washers on each bolt so the starter sits flush against the flywheel.
