WestinAutomotive Products 36-2055 Bumper

Bar came assembled, it can be done alone as I did but it's best to borrow someone for a sec. The instructions are a little confusing but there's only so many parts and they're stamped with their respective sides either a P or D. Make sure you have a socket and a wrench of the same size. I believe you'll need everything from a 14MM to a 19MM. I have a 2016 interceptor utility which will be the same in disassembly as the 16-19 explorer. The fender liner bolts are a 5.5MM. Everything else is either a 8MM or 10MM. The last few pages explain how to finally install it so pay attention to it. Other a great bar and looks very clean and is sturdy. It doesn't come with the cover for the top most cross member youll have to buy that separately. Check their website for the channel cover you want but the plain one is 36-6005.

Item was perfect and well built, shipped extremely fast. Awesome quality for the money. Only issue is that no where in description does it say it does or does not come with solid light channel cover. 10/10 would buy again.

Definitely would recommend!! This is the second Westin pushbar I’ve installed and other than taking off the front bumper of the Explorer (which does take quite some time) first one took me about a day and a half and this one took me around 3 hours, definitely a solid pushbar for the price.

As must buy if you own a fpiu.Like others have stated, it doesn't come with the top light bar cover, I ordered that separate. Install took 3 hours, with most the time being the removal and reinstallation of the front clip but is totally doable. I recommend swivel head sockets for the 3 bolts under the fender liner, not much room in there. But other than that, easy peasy lemon squeezy. People got out of the way before but now they are really getting the hell out of the way 😂

Note: Some buyers may see that this item does not fit the 16-17 Ford Explorer. It does. Some trims have proximity sensors like mine, the Platinum. This will interfere with them so Amazon defaults to “It doesn’t fit your vehicle.” I will explain my fix later.This push bar added the attitude that my Explorer Platinum needed! It was easy to install once you got past how difficult Ford made it to take apart the front clip of the ‘17 Explorer! You will break the clips that hold the wheel well trim to the body so be ready and purchase replacements.Once we got down to the bones, it was straightforward bolt-on. Lined up easy. Tightened up easy. Looks wicked.I added the 3-light channel to the top as it doesn’t come with any version of that trim. So, if you purchase this, you’ll need to search for the No-Light Channel (36-6005), 2-Light Channel (36-6005S2), 3-Light Channel (36-6005C3CH), or the 4-Light Channel (36-6005C4).To keep it from interfering with my sensors, I ordered the Ranch Hand USCBP Sensor Covers to block the two directly behind the push bar. No more alarming!The only modifications I had to make to my vehicle was grinding down a section of metal that was flaring off one side of the bumper. I could’ve hammered it but I though it would still interfere, or at the least cause the push bar to sit a little crooked. The other was removing the lower grille. I could’ve cut it but I’m waiting to purchase another one before I do that.The beauty of this push bar is that the alterations are so minimal that if so decided to remove it, it doesn’t require permanently altering the body.Next up is a set of fog lights for the light channel!I did take down one star because I feel like Westin should include the blank light channel (zero lights).

Excellent quality, fit, materials, and finish. Installation was fairly straight forward and required only a very minor modification to factory crash bar to remove about 3-4mm of excess [non-structural!] material. I would not hesitate to purchase again, and anticipate buying other Westin products in the future.

The Push Bumper was great fit the Vehicle extremely well. I'm very pleased with it.

It was exactly what I was looking for, minus the light channel. It doesn’t come with a light channel, which is kind of a bummer, but other than that, it works great!Also, this is a civilian explorer, not a police explorer.
