I purchased this seatbelt after an incident where I had to suddenly slam on my brakes to avoid hitting a deer while driving my dog to the park for her morning walk. I live in a rural area where deer are plentiful. Even though I was only driving 35 mph, my young dog was thrown from the seat and fell onto the floor. Since using this device, I've had to brake hard several times while my dog was a passenger. Fortunately, there were no tumbles to the floor during these instances. Attaching the strap to the headrest and the dog's harness is easy. I was impressed by the quality and performance of this product, so I bought one for my wife, who also takes our dog on trips to the park in her car.

My dog likes to ride on the center console. This seat belt gives me peace of mind and ensures her safety. It's strong but lightweight, installs in seconds and is great value for money. It's a must for any pet that sits anywhere in a car and isn't crated.

as I said in the title, this is a great product and gives me peace of mind while my little one is riding in the front seat. I feel like this would be great for both the front and the backseat. HOWEVER, I have to warn pet parents about a small but significant detail about this seatbelt. If your dog is anything like mine, she likes to circle around a couple of times before she gets comfy. The first time she did it I wasn't watching her, and as she was turning, I heard her gag and look over and she choked herself a little bit on the seatbelt strap. thankfully she was right next to me and I caught it after half a second but it was still scary. Nonetheless I still love the seatbelt however, I recommend any pet parent to watch your dog at all times with the seatbelt whether it's just after putting it on or halfway through your ride, just make sure that the cord is behind them at all times and there is no chance for them to choke themselves accidentally. overall, though this is a great seatbelt and it gives me piece of mind when i'm driving.

Very easy to use and keeps my kiddos safe in the back seat. Hooks easily to the headrest and you can adjust the length for different size dogs. I’ve had a dog break her leg on the way to the vet from having to stop quickly to avoid an accident from another vehicle that ran a stop sign, never again will my dogs not be secured in the car.

This doggy seat belt works perfectly. It keeps my little man and his seat and he's not all over the place distracting me. It looks good it's a great value for your money it fits him well and the size is not too big. The color blends in with my car.

Love love LOVE this and it was so inexpensive. All in all, this is worth the purchase and highly recommended. Worked great for our pit mix and easily hooked onto her harness. Gave her freedom to move around a bit but not too much to be a distraction to the driver. Context: Our dog loves car rides but cannot sit still most of the time. She tries to jump into the front seat usually and I’d have to hold my arm while driving to block the middle passageway the entire ride. She also loves to run back and forth between windows over my family members and hang half her body out the window. So we needed something to keep her a little more controlled and she’s a pit mix, so it needed to be strong. Item details: The material of the “leash” part is very sturdy. It feels like good quality and I knew immediately that it would hold our dog’s weight. The buckle had me nervous because it felt cheap, but it’s held up twice now so far. Will update if anything happens. The length is pretty good, and allows you to control how much freedom your pup has - though I wish you could adjust it just a little bit shorter. Even close to the shortest you can make it, our pup was able to stretch it in order to sit on the floor behind the driver’s seat (it was hooked over the middle as pictured). For us, it was fine because she wears a harness instead of a collar that hooks in the back but could lead to an unfavorable situation. I think if this was used in the passenger seat, it would also allow your dog to almost crawl into your lap as the driver at its shortest so just an FYI. That being said, still worth the purchase!!

It allows some movement of the dog inside The car. My dog manages to climb back, with another type is not so easy.

This works perfect in my car and my dog loves it.

The plastic part on the piece broke and it tightened so much that we now can't loosen it because of this. It doesn't seem to hold back a strong dog, since it broke. Now it is not useable because we now can't tighten it. It needs the plastic bits to be replaced with metal. I liked the product but can't recommend it for any dog over 20 pounds or a very strong dog. Our dog is 40 pounds and wants in the front seat but this couldn't hold him back since it broke and we can't tighten it now.
