Works great!
I've had this for a while now and I've been very happy with the camera. It's angle is perfect for my truck allowing me to see behind and down which is great for lining up hitches, seeing where to stop when backing up, and obstacles in the way of backing up. I have yet to see this camera fail on me. It's quality is good enough for my need, and the reference lines are decent enough to line yourself up with parking spots. Instal was easy, although I am mechanically inclined. I wired it up so it turns on when I go in reverse.

Fit, looks, and works perfectly.
This handle was very easy to install on my 2008 F150. I had plenty of cable to follow the factory wire harness along the driver frame rail. I came up through the cab by the parking brake cable, through the kick plate and over to radio. I hooked this to a Kenwood unit and it has a nice area of view and is very clear. This setup is so much more clear than the OEM camera in my 22 F150 thatโs itโs crazy. Only complaint I have is the directions are extremely poor and written in โChinenglishโ The handle has 2 extra wires that the harness doesnโt have the mate to and you might as well forget customer service. Over a week and they havnt replied to my email. I just ignored the extra wires and it worlds fine, so Iโll call it a win.

Installed on my 2007 Ford F150 FX4 - Aftermarket Panasonic Stereo
Easy Install on the tailgate but running the cable through the frame rails took a little patience. No real problem, just tedious. Fairly easy hook up to the stereo but I'm glad I had a previous camera which made it easy to hook up to the reverse wiring. Configured my stereo to the camera and it worked just fine. Camera works great in daylight with an awesome picture and it also works pretty good at night but I do have extra lights when backing up.

Donโt expect to see your hitch with this camera but it will help you not back into things.
This is the 3rd aftermarket camera Iโve had on this pickup. The first was in the emblem and lasted about a year, the second was similar to this one in the tailgate handle and I got another year and a half out of it. This looked to be the same as the last but once installed I realized itโs not. Install was a breeze mostly because I used the old wiring to pull a pull string into place when removing and then attached the new wiring to that and pulled it back through. It fits great and seems to work as a tailgate handle just fine. Looks just like factory. The camera image is better, night views are especially clearer. Unfortunately I hook and unhook from trailers daily which is the reason for adding a camera to this pickup and this camera fails in that department. The viewing angle leaves you at least 5โ short of the ball. I spent a bit just identifying where I need to be and how far past the edge of view to go and Iโll get by just fine with this one but it would have been better if it had just a degree or two lower viewing angle. As youโll see in the image the ball is nowhere to be found.

Good value
Used on. 2013 F150 and TopDisplay stereo. The install did not take too long and was plug and play. Camera is good quality and decent angle. Wire was long enough. No current complaints.

Camera view
I mean it is cool and installation was easy image is okay, but it takes a minute to engage and turn on. Also major thing is that the alignment lines do not align exactly with my 2011 f150 xlt. Which sucks and i canโt really see the towball like i wanted when looking for my boat trailer. But for the most part is good. I use my mirrors to back up because the alignment like i said is off. If i used camera i would hit the car next to me

Disappointing Image Quality โ Pixelated and Practically Useless
I bought the RED WOLF Tailgate Handle with Reverse Backup Camera Replacement for my 2010 Ford F150 hoping it would be a solid OEM-style upgrade. Installation wasnโt too bad and the fit was decent, but the main purpose of a backup camera is to see whatโs behind youโand thatโs where this product fails completely. The camera image is extremely low resolution. Everything looks pixelated, washed out, and blurry, even in decent lighting conditions. At night, forget about itโyouโre better off using your mirrors or just guessing. It's almost like viewing an old VHS tape on a modern screen. For a product that's supposed to increase safety and visibility, this one actually reduces confidence when backing up. I expected at least a usable image, but this feels like a downgrade from even a decade-old stock camera. Unless you're just looking for a handle and donโt care about video quality at all, Iโd skip this one and look for a better camera with decent resolution.

works as advertised, PLENTY of wire, looks like an OEM installtion
No stars rated for "sheerness" as I have no idea what that refers to. This kit comes with more than enough wire to :1) make it to the cab of my truck (8' box) with plenty to spare 2) enough wire to hook up the electrical for power (reverse lights) such that I cut off several feet. The wiring is encased in a plastic loom to protect it.. I opted to add another layer of 1/2" loom over it to provide even more protection. The picture quality is pretty good on my 9" GPS screen, the photo I took does not do it justice. Removing a jumper gives the "framing lines".. I opted to remove the jumper. (as seen in the picture) The installation looks professional / OEM in that the camera is built into an OEM looking tailgate latch, installing the camera / latch mechanism is not complicated and is straight forward.. Running the cable to the cab is a chore, this not a reflection on the camera manufacturer, but more a testimony of how well you want to protect the cable and your personal ability to do it correctly. One slight disappointment. I bought this for more easily hooking to a trailer.. the camera is purposely made for "rear view" and just misses seeing my hitch by about 2".. the photos show my solution, I mount a magnetic retriever (red handle) on my hitch, it extends about 6", when it disappears under the trailer hitch it is perfectly aligned. Problem solved..Camera now does exactly what I bought it for..

As Good As Factory Camera
2005 F150. I ran this into an older Kenwood deck I had. Installation was a breeze. The picture quality is amazing, especially at night. I had a license plate one before and it was terrible because the license plate lights distort the camera at night. This one gives you a higher view from the latch position. The latch works as good as the original. Had it over a year now and still great. The backup lines also are a nice touch.
