First of all, the machine does make ice. But not as much as advertised. The storage capacity is supposed to be 35 pounds, I am lucky to collect 20 on a full box. I have even busted the large chunks with a hammer and spread evenly throughout the box, and it still only nets 20 pounds or so. The overall quality of the machine is very cheaply made, not worth the listed price. I feel that this machine will not last a year. The user manual is very broken English and most of it doesn’t even make sense. The provided water connect fittings are also cheap and leak. I purchased my own piping and plumbing and water filter from the hardware store, but I did use the provided male and female 1/4” x 1/2” connectors, those are then only connections that leak. I purchased the 200#/24 hour machine, but after reading the descriptions it is the same size as the 100#/24 hour machine. It seems as if they sell the same machine with different price values.
