It comes with AAA batteries in the box, so it’s ready to use right away. For the price, the value for money is excellent. It covers a huge range (-58℉ to 932℉), which means I can use it for way more than just my AC — like checking my grill, oven, or even insulation spots around the house. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and hasn’t given me any issues.
